it was old, too many stairs. We fond bugs in our bed. It was dirty and i dont recommend this place. Wifi was only available "in the lobby area" that is not true. We went down several times to use the wifi and it wasnt working. We asked the guy n the desk and he said probably other people were using it. If you have a hostel with people A LOT OF PEOPLE, WHY CANT YOU GET A BETTER WIFI SERVICES. The place smell like old and wet. we went in november when its cold and raining. the only "good" thing about this place is their location, closer to a underground station, restaurants and museum, but that's it.

Our favourite place to stay when visiting London
Our favourite place to stay when visiting London as a family. Only a few minutes walk to several museums including the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum, and only a few minutes walk from South Kensington underground station. Kind and welcoming staff, use of kitchen and dining room all day, including a microwave and kettle, plates, cups, cutlery, etc. Clean and tidy. A big thank you to all the staff for welcoming us again! Steve

Прекрасная локация:все популярные музеи рядом, метро, в пешей доступности набережная с ее основными достопримечательностями. Сам хостел расположен в очень старом (на красивой улочке) здании. Обслуживание приятное, работники стараются (возможно, чтоб скрасить весь дискомфорт от проживания). Внутри все старое, ремонта не было лет 50. Завтраки символические: только «сухой корм», тосты, чай, растворимый кофе/какао и джемы.Туалеты, душевые более-менее, на верхнем этаже -минимальный напор воды. Самое страшное было то, что во всех номерах-клопы. Мы были искусаны ими, Вообщем, еле унесли ноги.

The dorms are not recommended. Not terrible, but warn and generally drab. The 2 staff so met were very helpful. Also, there is a 3 pound charge for a towel---very unusual, that.

Hostel was functional but very, very old and hot/stuffy. Internet was inconsistent. No problems with access to bathrooms nor water pressure/heat (as some complained about). Breakfast is simply toast or choice between 2 cereals - but appreciated. Location was excellent and making own meals in shared kitchen was easy - but bring your own cutlery. Beware the beds as, like with many hotels in the world, there are bed bugs.

Die Unterkunft war unglaublich schmutzig, schwarzer Schimmel in den Bädern, Schmutzschichten unter den Betten uvm. Im Preis ist ein Früschtück enthalten, worauf ich aber nach Ansicht der Küche/ des Esszimmers dankend verzichtet habe. Als ich am Morgen auschecken wollte wurde ich mit der Angabe “Der zuständige duscht noch” eine halbe Stunde warten gelassen. Ich bin wirklich tolerant was Unterkünfte betrifft und wusste worauf ich mich bei einem so niedrigen Preis einlasse, dass es aber so wiederlich ist dass ich mich zum schlafengehen nicht einmal ausziehen wollte war wirklich erschreckend.

We were 11 Girl Scouts on a European adventure. The area for this hotel was amazing. It was so easy to walk to the South Kensington underground station. There were so many wonderful cafes nearby. The hotel itself advertises that it has WiFi but it didn’t work most of the time. When it did work it was only in the lobby. The rooms were good size. The bathrooms are on different levels and you must be able to climb stairs. The communal kitchen was very dirty and when we went to use it all the dishes and pans had to be cleaned first. We would stay in the area again but not at this hotel.

Location is pretty much the main thing going for this place. The man working when I checked in was very helpful, but the evening receptionist not so much. Very spotty wi-fi and the property was very dirty and smelly. Could be so much more with a little work.

This hostel is in the most perfect location. We wanted to get into the Natural History Museum without a big queue. It was literally a few seconds walk away. For London it was pretty cheap, costing me around £110 per night for a family room for 4 people. The beds were all clean and comfortable. We asked for extra pillows - no problem. Breakfast was basic but included in the price and filled a space until lunch. There was a choice of cornflakes or coco pops, then toast with strawberry jam or marmalade. However, overall I would think twice before staying again. We are used to staying in hostels but YHA hostels which definitely have a higher standard. Yes, the decor is tired (it is only a 2* hotel afterall), but the room did not feel clean. Some sweets had been left in a drawer and there were quite a few ants around enjoying the sweets. We killed any that we saw escaping. The floor needed a good hoover into the corners. I certainly wasn't going to walk bare foot. There were 2 working toilets that we could find for the whole hostel, each containing a shower. It doesn't have many rooms but if both shower are in use then you are in for rather a wait for the toilet. We also choose hostels so there is a choice to make our own drinks in an evening and have the option of buying some pasta and sauce from a shop and cooking our own meal to save some money. Although a self catering kitchen, it only had frying pans. I struggled to find even a cup to make a drink at night.
