"We enjoyed this lovely home with a lot of charm! The pioneer owner’s story on the wall was fun to read, too. The location was great and was easy to walk to shops and the one restaurant that was open this time of year. The beds were firm but comfortable and I slept great! The one bathroom was a little tough but we knew that ahead of time so it was ok! It was a nice touch to have body wash, shampoo, dish soap, paper towels, food seasonings, etc supplied. "This is a great location right on the Mississippi River and a short drive to Nauvoo and Keokuk for groceries and food. The home is VERY clean and has all the necessary amenities, lots of games and all the fun things. Our family LOVED staying in this home and loved visiting Nauvoo. "

"We chose to celebrate Christmas at The Red House and it was a perfect place to do that! Very homey!"

"This is a great place with a beautiful view! It has everything you need for cooking and serving! The place was very clean and neat. The young people loved the pool. The only problem we had was several hornets nests, which caused three little kids to get stung. We bought spray and sprayed the nests."

"The location was close to the Nauvoo Temple. We walked to the temple for sunset most nights. It was a few minutes drive to Old Nauvoo. It was a great accommodation for our family."

"Unfortunately we were here for a funeral, however the listing was true to what we received! Location in neighborhood was very nice no issues. The home itself was laid out wonderful and it was a very clean home. There was bad weather with tornado watches and the full basement came in handy just for comfort!. The host had really fast and good communication and we would recommend this and stay again."

"Total of 13 people in our group. Plenty of room and beds for everyone. Really enjoyed the TV room downstairs & super close to Historic Nauvoo. Great communication with property owners. Would recommend."

"Can’t say enough good things about our stay in Nauvoo The farmhouse was everything it was advertised to be. It was clean well stocked and well furnished. It was close to everything we wanted to see. If we come back, we will definitely stay there and refer our friends to the same place."

"Everything was wonderful! We could look out the back door and see the river. The house was exceptionally clean and well stocked. I grew up in Oquawka, moved away years ago but came back for an annual family reunion over the weekend. Will book again in the future!! Mindi is an excellent host, fast responses to any questions and friendly."

"I loved it! We were greeted by the host and their dog (who’s friendly as ever!) upon arrival and everything went perfectly smooth from there. The blankets were honestly the best part, LOL! We were all obsessed! Perfect little spot to stay right off the highway in a quiet neighborhood. Will definitely consider it again in the future if I need somewhere to stay near here again! "

"Building is very old which adds to the charm. Had plenty of space and Jordan was amazing to work with! Food downstairs is yummy also! Does have a lot of stairs if that is an issue for you. "
