Step onto your covered patio with private hot tub and into you cozy cabin retreat for you and up to 5 additional guests to call home. You'll be instantly greeted by the warm mountain sunlight in your open concept living space, adjacent to the fully stocked kitchen and attached dining. After a day of games, good food, and excellent exploring, come settle in under the stairs while sharing memories and making s'mores by the fire pit.

Both bedrooms are outfitted with luxury linens and pillows, ample lighting, clothing storage solutions, and luggage racks. The full shared bathroom includes basic toiletries and hotel quality towels.

LOCATION:
Nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains, the cabin is a great jumping off point to Hocking Hills State Park (4.1 miles). Explore all the park has to offer from caves to waterfalls and miles of scenic hiking trails. You'll be a ten minute drive to Cedar Falls or Old Man's Cave for first class hiking, or a short ~40 minute drive to Athens and just 1 hour to Columbus city center.

- No Pets allowed. No exceptions Security cameras are in use on the front exterior of the cabin
- The cabin is located in an area well water water is used. There may be a sulfur smell to the water due to this. We do have a water softening system installed at the home, but there may be occasions where the smell is stronger than others. This is normal for this area.

This the 2nd time I have stayed here. This property is perfect in all your needs. Great location, private and all the right amenities. Check in and out is easy. This the best place to relax and recharge after a day on the trails.

Thank you for sharing your cozy cabin with us. Everything about at the cabin was spectacular! After a long day of hiking, the hot tub was much appreciated. We especially loved the seclusion and privacy of the cabin in the woods. We can’t wait to come back!

Perfect getaway
This cabin was the perfect place to stay for our short hiking trip. The cabin was secluded but close to all the hiking trails. The kitchen was fully stocked and there was a ton of games/extras with the cabin. Super clean and very cozy! Will definitely be booking again.

Beautiful property!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Deerview. The property was clean and well-maintained. The kitchen was stocked and had everything we needed. Communication with the owner was excellent and very quick. We saw a buck on our last morning there and also a fawn. We would definitely stay here again!

Ideal Getaway
The cabin exceeded expectations. Booked the cabin for a family Birthday celebration. I drove in from Tennessee and knew instantly I had picked a winner. Everything that is described in the listing is accurate. Everything we needed was in place right down to the 5 gallon water cooler and a well stocked kitchen. The cabin was immaculate and comfortable inside and the outdoor spaces were great. I think we sat out by the campfire until midnight both nights. If I'm ever back in the area I will definitely be staying at DeerView. Also, communication with the host was fantastic.

Magical Stay!
My husband and I had such a wonderful stay at Deerview Cabin! Communication with Molly and her team were flawless from start to finish. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. We had such a relaxing couple of days enjoying coffee on the porch in the morning, hiking and exploring the sites by day, lounging in the hot tub at sunset, then toasting s'mores into the night. Could not have asked for a better getaway and we can't wait to come back again in the fall! Thank you for such a memorable stay, you all were wonderful!

Private, Cozy Cabin in the Woods
Great short stay for our family of 4. We ran into a snag while getting into the cabin but a quick message to Molly and our problem was solved - good thing there is Wi-Fi at the cabin because there is not Verizon cell service unless you drive to the top of the hill. Our kids loved the hot tub and were in it every time they could. The cabin is only a couple minutes from Cedar Falls and 20 minutes from Lake Logan which we liked. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed for our short stay and will stay again when visiting the area.

This stay was fabulous! The cabin has a home feel with everything you could ask for available! Definitely a great place to unplug and a short distance from local attractions! We were vey impressed with small touches! I was very thankful for the thoughtfulness of the black makeup wash clothes for those of us who do not want to ruin other linens with makeup:) The checkin and checkout directions were simple and easy to follow! Communication was prompt from the host. Internet worked well with streaming on multiple devices. The serene atmosphere and fresh air was rejuvenating! This place is definitely five star and we will stay again!!!

have a video of dead mouse in kitcken sink that freaked out my girlfriend. you wanna see the video?
the floors of the cabin were dirty. the pictures we saw on the internet made the cabin look one year old. it was probably 15 years old. he water smells like rotten eggs. but the beds were very nice.the gas grill was filthy. Tina and I had a wonderful time at hocking Hills visting all the sites.But the dead mouse in the kitcken sink would keep us from ever staying again. Brad

Wonderful!
My husband and I only live about 2 hours north of Hocking but wanted a weekend to ourselves without spending most of it driving. Ultimately we decided on Hocking. He and I both work long hours and have demanding careers so my only requirements were a hot tub and seclusion. After looking at many cabins online, I let him take over the search and within 5 minutes he had settled on Deerview and told me to book it. When we arrived I was so pleased with the aesthetic of the cabin. It had the perfect rustic chic vibe and let me tell you: there is not a single thing the property owner didn't think of as far as amenities. Had we forgotten anything back home, we still would've had it thanks to the host. We really only utilized the first floor and admittedly spent most of our weekend in the hot tub or napping but that's really all we wanted. We did oversleep a bit on checkout day and left a little late but we cleaned as much as we could prior to departing which hopefully made up for that. The only thing that some people may not like is the low water pressure in the shower, but we live in an old farmhouse so we weren't at all offended. All in all, we were very happy with our stay and plan to make it an annual getaway. A+

3 day stay
Very nice cabin overall, a great location and we enjoyed our stay. Cabin itself was clean and they provided a lot of extras. However, there was no phone number to contact our host. We needed additional towels and this cabin does not have a washer and dryer. The toilet was not flushing properly the entire stay. The hottub was out of chlorine tabs, needed to be disinfected, and half of the jets did not work. The beds were so hard they were actually painful to sleep on... my husband likes firm beds. Some of these issues could have been quickly remedied if we had a contact number instead of relying in the app. All that being said, we would stay here again but bring a mattress topper for comfort. It was quiet, secluded and peaceful which is what we needed. It has a beautiful outdoor firepit area we didnt have a chance to use and the hosts put a lot if effort into providing little extras like games and books for renters. Wifi and streaming was good.
