I spent my days enjoying the trails, in enjoying the multiple fireplaces on the property. And of course the dinner. The food wine and port made for an unforgettable stay. "

"This was my 3rd time staying at QdLR, yet I think this is my first review of the property(?). This is a solid gem in Pinhão. Although about 0.5 km from the town, the location means it is quiet. Wonderful, spacious room, excellent restaurant, and scrumptious breakfast, not to mention great wines and ports from the on-site winery. I had the trip from hell to get here and arrived late. "The staff at this property were outstanding. It was raining when we were there, but in good weather, the outside patios would have been lovely. It's a bit of a walk into town, but we were a group of four seniors and we managed fine. We took a cab back up to the property. After a long day of travelling, we loved the quietness that this property provided."

"I came as a solo traveler. The stay was quite, safe, comfortable, and clean. I arrived and did not realize the proximity to nearby resturants, for someone without a car. The owners were very kind they made me a salad and sandwich for dinner that evening. There was a continental breakfast included. They even arranged trabsportation the next morning for me. "The hotel facilities seem quite nice, just lack of service staff. However the room we were assigned on the 1st floor does not have Wifi. The young fellow was kind enough to change us to a room on the 3rd floor, which was ok for us although it lacks certain amenities. The worst thing happened was upon the check out. "We absolutely loved our stay at Quinta da Marka! It was beautiful and on such a picturesque spot along the river. It was so relaxing and a restful spot for our honeymoon. The train station is nearby to get to other cities if you wanted to, otherwise it is quite isolated in this area. Walking over to Quinta do Crasto for a wine tasting & tour was a highlight of the area too! The Quinta offered breakfast, lunch, and dinner which was very convenient. Poor Hotel.com Customer Service!

"Sadly having booked and paid for this hotel to end the day motorcycling up the Duoro Valley we had an email from you late the night before confirming that the booking could not be honoured and to ring your reservation services line. Which we did twice hoping for an offer of alternative accommodation. Rather than wait on the line your employee (Jimena) confirmed he would ring us back with alternatives. He never did - nor did anybody else. We rang first thing in the morning having had nothing but a duplicate of the original email overnight (circa 0230 Porto time). Clearly no meaningful support could be expected so we requested a full refund and booked an alternative hotel ourselves. Overall not a very customer centric and sympathetic response. To add to the disruption this was my husbands birthday too! We welcome your response. "
