"We arrived about 20 mins early & 8 enquired if we could check in one of the staff members told me that the reception staff didn’t start work until 3.00pm. We went in & had a coffe at Costa & then checked in after 3.00. The hotel was clean & tidy & the room was nice & warm, overall the stay was very good. "

"This is a lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds. Very friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. I would particularly applaud receptionists. Only slight negative would be dinner. Placed at a table which wasn’t set properly and had to pinch cutlery from an adjoining table. Even when the waitress came to take our order she didn’t notice! But overall we lived our stay. Room was very well equipped, quiet and very comfortable."

"Beautiful old building that has been modernised on the inside. The christams decor is beautiful. Staff were very friendly. The breakfast was a great choice from yougurt, cereal, toast, fry up had all the usual, eggs, bacon, sausage, beans etc. Also a selection of pastries. The evening meal was very nice. No complaints at all, the hotel looks like its not long been done up. Loved the littlewelcome try with, bottlewater, teas ,coffee, hot chocolate and a wee pack of biscuits. Also a nice cookie on arrival at reception desk. "
