"We had a good week at the property, it is a bit remote and shopping for food best done before you arrive at property or in larger village shops! Lovely gardens and beach for the kids, a bit rocky but kids loved looking in rock pools. The accommodation itself was spotless, very well stocked with kitchen equipment and appliances, we had the two cottages which made up the stables, so 2 kitchen and lounge areas, we tended to use the larger kitchen for eating and the smaller cottage lounge as it was...

"A lovely large, clean, comfortable, well equipped property in a quiet location in southern Scotland. Host Nigel was very responsive and pointed us to some great walks close by. The large hot tub was private, relaxing, and well used during our visit. Highly recommended property and would book here again."

"Cottage was clean cosy and comfortable. It is about 15 mins drive to castle douglas. Owners live next door so easy to contact with minor issues. We were familiar with local area as visited frequently before."

"The farmhouse is simply stunning. Decorated to the highest standards, spotlessly clean and has every creature comfort you could wish for. Wonderful communication from the owner. We loved our stay and will definitely be back. "

"The cottage was cosy and had everything we needed. A minor niggle, but it was a bit cluttered with cushions and throws in the sitting room - the throws just slid off the leather sofas and the cushions were too big and too many, so were surplus to requirements. The location suited us very well, with a host of lovely walks and places to visit nearby. We had a wonderful break and can recommend!"

"We loved the house and the area. The house was good for my daughter who is a wheelchair user. It would have been perfect if there hadnt been a drawer below the sink. The beds were comfortable too."

"The Old Sunday School was beautifully clean and had everything we needed and more. The beds were comfortable and we slept extremely well (even in the heatwave). The welcome pack was so thoughtful and delicious."

"Very comfortable and homely, clean and had everything we could need"

"Excellent property. Great gardens for the kids to explore and very nice walk to the beach. We walked along the beach to the local pub than back along the farm road. We are planning on returning next year."
