"We had a lovely stay at the AC Tarragona by Marriott. The facility was modern and the staff, especially Irene at the front desk, was very accommodating. Highly recommend!"

"Stayed in a spacious and quiet room on 7th floor. Hotel is around a 30 minute walk from the old town/coast. Had to request more tea/coffee from reception during my stay, as it was not replenished automatically, but once I asked it arrived within 10 minutes."

"The hotel itself is beautiful and well kept. Breakfast was delicious and convenient. There is parking available a short walk from the hotel lobby. They do have lifts. Staff wasn't overly friendly. Customer service was just ok. We did not prebook spa services and were not able to get in for services while we were there. We were not able to decline maid service. They use a strong chemical air freshener in the hallways if you're respiratory sensitive."

"The receptionist was impressively professional and helpful. She spoke Russian to the Russian guest ahead of us, then smoothly switched to English for us, the Spanish for the next. Check in was easy, the room was nice, and our stay was wonderful."

"Beds very low. Too close to the floor as you felt the cold from the tiles. Air conditioning very noisy and didn't give any heat to the bedrooms even with leaving the door open. Bathroom was very good. Cabins a bit too close to each other. Lots of children kicking balls about and running about around parked cars by cabins. Good idea with adults only spa maybe an adults only area in cabins too!! Around the area complex some of the caravans with awnings looked like they had been unattended for...

"Difficulty finding the entrance to the hotel in a car but once inside we were greeted with a smile and a glass of Cava. The room was very spacious with views of the sea and amphitheatre. Couldn’t have been more comfortable."

Charmed!

"Hostal 977 was charming and delightful. It’s on a medieval street just wide enough for a car, but few go by since the hotel is in the old city. Albert, at the front desk, was warm and welcoming. He couldn’t have been a better host. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. Tarragona was our first stop on flying from the U.S., so we were exhausted. We slept 15 hours in peace, quiet, and comfort. The décor of the hotel is delightful. Everywhere you look is something fun, charming, or quirky (like the painting of a little mouse and mouse hole on the baseboard of the kitchenette area). We only stayed one night and had to check out at 11:00 - but our train wasn’t until 9:00 at night. Albert was so gracious - he let us come back during the day and rest a bit (we’re senior citizens) on the very comfortable sofa in the lobby, and have a snack on the lobby dining table, as well. We knew that the hotel didn’t have a kitchen, so it couldn’t offer breakfast. But it had coffee and tea and other beverages (including alcoholic ones), plus the room had two delicious muffins for us in a little basket. We highly recommend Hostal 977, and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Albert - or as they say in Tarragona, merci!!!"
