The peaceful sounds of the rapids across the river, the birds' song, and the pleasure of floating the river await. The Lazo House is nestled on 10 acres of unspoiled Texas hill country, with expanses of pink granite outcroppings.
Our four beautifully designed cabins, barn, and common house are perfect for family reunions, couple retreats or corporate off-site gatherings.
The Space:
In our distinctive setting, everyone can come together or enjoy serene solitude at their own pace.
Main Common House: Bunkroom with 2 full beds and 2 twin beds, 1 full bathroom
The common house features a cozy living room with panoramic views featuring a 60-inch satellite LED-TV, wi-fi, 4 bed bunkroom, laundry room and a full bathroom. Our gourmet kitchen includes upgraded appliances, gas oven/stove top, microwave, 2 dishwashers, and all the cookware and utensils you'll need to impress everyone with your culinary skills.
Cabin 1: 1 Queen bed, 1 full bathroom
Cabin 2: 1 Queen bed, 1 full bathroom
Cabin 3: 2 Queen beds, 1 full bathroom
Cabin 4: 2 Queen beds, 1 full bathroom
Each individual cabin features deluxe bedding, room to spread out, a full bathroom, tea and coffee service and a patio to enjoy the sunrise right.
Barn: 4 twin bunk beds, 1 full bathroom
The newly renovated barn includes 4 twin bunk beds, full bathroom, a foosball table, dart board, smart LED-TV and a large living room for spreading out.
Llano river access: 4 kayaks are available and stored to the right of the main house. Please provide your own life jacket in accordance with state laws.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire 10 acres of unspoiled Texas hill country -- All 4 cabins, main commons, barn, full kitchen, private pool, and laundry room. Have fun with our foosball table, dart board, kayaks, canoes, riverfront access, plus any of 4 available campfires for storytelling. Guests are encouraged to explore the property and the river during their stay. Some of the closet spaces are closed for housekeeping supplies.
There are several fire pits on site for guest use. We kindly ask bring your own supplies and extinguish any flames/coals after each use.

Getting Around:
A car is a necessity in the hill country. The property is out in the country 10 miles west of the town of Llano, which is 70 miles west of Austin.
Please note this is a rural property out in the Texas Hill Country. It's common in rural areas to encounter wildlife that can include birds, reptiles, deer, or other local fauna. Rural areas may have limited or different services compared to urban settings, such as cell phone service and delivery services. We recommend enabling ‘wifi calling’ on your device.
As you may know, it's currently bug season here, and our location is known for its small inhabitants. Rest assured, we take proactive measures to manage this, and it shouldn't pose a problem during your stay.
Other Things to Note:
A great barbecue and general store are 8 miles west in the village of Castell, TX. Live music is about 30 miles northwest at Hilltop Cafe. The Llano area has 4 wineries and a distillery to visit. Or, just relax into the serene hill country surroundings and unwind.
Important: We are committed to protecting our properties and keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations. We have a protection plan in place included in the booking price, which is why you will be asked to complete our independent verification.

- Occupancy is set at 22 guests. We allow up to 4 additional guests under the age of 2 at no extra charge. For any additional guests over 2 years old or if the total number of extra guests under the age of 2 exceeds 4 persons, there will be a charge of $25 per person.
- Unmonitored water features are on the property. Swim at your own risk. No glass in the pool area.
- Fireworks are not allowed.
-For safety reasons, lighting candles are not allowed inside the property. We kindly ask to please refrain from using any candles indoors to ensure the safety of all guests and the property.
- Trash left in the receptacles at the end of the drive MUST be bagged. Fees may apply if not.
- Please ensure that the gates remain shut at all times due to the presence of an unsupervised water feature (swimming pool) on the premises.
-Pets allowed with fee. Not to exceed 4 pets. Please clean up after your animals.
-There are several fire pits on site. We kindly ask guests to bring their own supplies, extinguish any flames/coals after each use and adhere to any county burn ban in effect.
