One night stay . Staff very efficient but not friendly . Rooms really nice . Sausages low meat content , all rest of breakfast excellent . Dinner menu was standard pub food presented very well . Good for one night stop . Safety lights in room far too bright and kept us awake

Excellent stay. Booked the Towey Suite for our 10th Wedding Anniversary stunning and staff are welcoming and friendly. Food was top class. Will definitely recommend and return in the near future.

I’ve stayed at the Plough many times when visiting family in the area. It is fine. Rooms are ok and breakfast is decent. They might want to look at pricing though. I can stay at the Voco in Cardiff bay for a fracture of the cost of a night at the Plough and it is a vastly superior hotel. Perhaps the prices explain the low occupancy at the Plough during my stay. I also take a dim view of trying to monetise early check ins and late check outs at £10 per hour.

Worth the drive
We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel. The room was lovely and gave us so much room & privacy with the extra lounge etc. We wanted a quiet break and it didn’t disappoint. Breakfast and the evening meal was wonderful. Staff very friendly. Only negative was the bathroom sensor, not great if you go to toilet and light comes on when you’re half asleep. Option to turn that off at night would be good. Would recommend hotel to friends and family and hope to be back in future.
