Explore picturesque Harlech (3 miles) with its internationally renowned links golf course, and the designated UNESCO World Heritage Site of Harlech Castle. For keen cyclists, the Coed y Brenin Mountain Biking Centre (8 miles) is also nearby. Visit the Italianate village of Portmeirion (7 miles), made famous as the location for 60s TV show The Prisoner. Head to bustling Barmouth (7 miles) with its museum, harbour shops, restaurants and pubs. From here, take the water taxi over to the miniature steam train at Fairbourne.
