Ideally located between Liverpool and Blackpool along the Sefton Coast, Southport has over 22 miles of coastline and one of the oldest piers in the UK. The pier, along with the fun fair, Ferris wheel, Splash World indoor water park, bowling, cinema, theatre, laser quest and restaurants are all within a 10-minute walk, which means you can leave the car parked at the house and not have to worry about traffic or parking. The train station is also within a 10-minute walk and from here, you can take a train into Manchester or Liverpool.
Just across the road is King’s Gardens, a 17-acre garden which has an adventure playground, tea rooms and lake. It hosts various events throughout the year including an outdoor cinema. Other popular annual events held in Southport include the RHS Flower Show, fireworks championships and Southport Air Show. Southport is also famous for its world-class golf courses, including the Royal Birkdale Golf Club. Shoppers will enjoy Southport’s famous Lord Street, which apart from having lots of great shops, also has plenty of nice bars, cafés and restaurants. Again this is within just a 10-minute walk of the property.
Of course there is also lots to do outside of Southport itself.
