Unique place decorated with charming artifacts from the 1950s (each cabin has its own theme). There were deer walking in front of my cabin when I drove up.

Well done themed cabins
Loved this quirky little place. Cabins have themes, ours was called "Here" and was decorated with local Pacific coast items. Vaulted ceilings, wood burning fireplaces, outdoor hot tub and fire pit. Both indoor and outdoor fireplaces all set up with positioned logs and fire starter pack...just light a match once and you are done! Marshmallows and long forks set out at the pit each night! We had a kitchen so fresh eggs from their chickens were provided. This place had everything you need and more! King bed was so comfortable! I highly recommend the little diamond as a change of pace from the typical hotel motel when traveling the coastal route in N. Ca.

Three Nights at The Aniron
Arrived early to find the owners working hard to make the place clean and beautiful. Went to lunch in Fort Bragg then returned to get our room. The rooms are very clean with music playing from the TV. The fireplace makes the room very toasty on a cold night. The beds were very comfortable and because of the location of The Andiron, the noise level is very low so we slept very peacefully. Even our dog, who hears every noise and has to bark at it, slept peacefully through the night. The grounds have a lot of room for playing games and for your pets to move about. We were able to eat our meals there so it saved us money from having to dine out. We really enjoyed our stay at The Aniron. Thanks, guys, for making our stay so great!!

Funky and fun
Cute cabin... interesting, funky, themed. Very clean. Nice deck to sit on and includes deer feeding during the evening hours. I didn't meet the goats or use the hot tub this time but I will the next time I stay here. Friendly staff and Kate left us the most delicious cookies! I loved the place and plan to return again soon,

1950's Summer Camp!
When I saw on their website that a "viewmaster" was listed among the amenities, I knew before we even arrived it would be perfect! I never went to summer camp when I was a kid but this is exactly how I picture it. It's so peaceful, quaint and quirky. The hosts haven't overlooked a single detail (home-made treats in your room, adorable goats to feed, organic bath products, s'mores at the firepit...) I loved it all!

Sweet, welcoming place with such charm
My boyfriend and I stayed here for our weekend getaway and we were blown away by how well this place is maintained, how much care is put into the place and the overall charm of it all. We checked in after the office closed, but found a personal note in the mailbox with everything we needed. We were welcomed in our cottage with lovely music and some whoopie pies! So sweet! Our room was themed with international travel and it was styled mid-century like. The furniture was so cool as well as the decor. The room even came with fun vintage games, one of which we played for hours into the night! So fun! The hot tub in the woods is simply perfect, so pretty in the woods, it even has lights wrapped around the tree. If you are looking for a romantic getaway with personal flare, I would recommend this place a hundred times over! We already have to our families!

Charming Cottages with Vintage Feel
My best friend and I had an amazing stay here! The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The cottages were adorable: rustic but nice with amazing touches from the mini whoopie pies to the lovely bath products, the framed vintage photos to the fluffy towels! We had an amazing time and only wish we could have stayed longer.

Unique!
This is a very quirky, fun place where there has been a lot of thought into making the cabins interesting and comfortable. We loved our cabin called "write!". We were welcomed in our room with treats, a cozy fire (in the electric fireplace), and lovely music. The staff is helpful and friendly. They have a nice supply of movies and games, a hot tub and a pair of charming goats!

Great cabins with great location.
Charming cabins decorated in 40's-50's style. Done with humor. Great host and hostess. Definitely a time warp to an earlier time. Wonderful experience

Really a nice experience.
It's really the people that make staying at the Andiron fun. The owners are a delight and we met some great fellow guests. This may be a bit rustic and funky for those looking for a luxury experience. Nice hot tub in a woodsy setting. Happy hour from 5pm to 6pm and a Toast Bar in the morning to tide you over until a full breakfast at any of the nearby hotels. Pet friendly, altho you can't leave your dog(s) alone in room for hours for obvious reasons.

A hotel that transpose you back to 40,'60 or 80
We were a bit skeptial about this place when we pulled over to our cabin. The exterior of the cabin doesnt' do the justice. Once we opened the door, we were delighted by the soothing music at the background, the unique decor and the huge patio that overlook the hillside. It got even better when we held the complimentary Happy hour beer on one hand and soaked into the nature. The cabin is also fully equipped with the a refrig, a stove, coffee, wine glass and opener. We didn't have a chance to try the hot tube but I am sure it is wonderful with the whole setting. The (2) friendly goats, peanut butter and jelly are great with kids and I am sure they will enjoy petting them.

Cozy cabin in a great location to coast & parks
We enjoyed hiking in Van Damme & Jug Handle parks. Point Arena Lighthouse & Stornetta Public Lands, now our nation's newest national monument, are beautiful areas to explore, as is Glass Beach in north Fort Bragg.

Really sweet cabin!
Clearly, the person who amassed all the decorative items that decorate these cabins has a great eye. It's not fancy, but it is fun, it was clean and comfortable and quiet. Terminally cute!

cozy and quiet
Cozy and quiet and the wood burning stove was a great way to start a chilly foggy morning on the coast. Loved the coffee maker, grinder and fresh beans and sitting on the deck outside the room. Bed was comfortable, staff friendly. I would stay there again.

Classic and Cozy
It was wonderful to have a the amenities of home while being in such a rural area and not having to rely on going out for every meal. The decorating of the roomy cabin was cozy with a special vintage flare. The staff was extremely welcoming, and we enjoyed being there so much it made it difficult to want to leave and go into town. Will definitely be returning our next trip up north from the Bay!

For the price they charge it is just not worth it. No staff around when we checked in around 8PM and no staff around when we left at 8AM Grounds have potential, but need a lot of attention Cabins are rustic

Nasty
This B&B has outstanding reviews on Yelp and that is the reason we booked it. While we had no personal interaction with the staff (we arrived after the office closed) and left early the next day, we liked the personal touches (i.e. welcome card in the room, fire place turned on etc.) However, we had a huge issue with the "décor" (We stayed in the "Make" cabin). Being retro and embracing the décor of the mid century is one thing, throwing nasty furniture from garage sales into a room is something else and the line between retro and nasty motel is a fine one to walk. In our opinion this was nasty: Wood paneling, chairs one would find at Goodwill, worn curtains, etc.

Unique cottages in beautiful surroundings
A very interesting property with each room based on a unique them. Ours had some interesting pieces in it based on world travel. There could be a bit more room for suitcases, etc, and the inside chairs weren't particularly comfortable, but serviceable. We had an enjoyable stay and would consider staying again in the future.

Great stay for a little romance!
We went to The Andiron for my partners birthday weekend and were delightfully surprised. Unfortunately the grass surrounding the cottages had a golden color due to the dry year, but that was our only negative. As soon as we walked into the office we were surrounded by memories of yesteryear..and puppies. We were quickly checked in & reminded that happy hour was within the hour. This is a dog friendly inn, so happy hour included both people & dogs. Local beer, wine & fondue was served, the owners were welcoming and as colorful as their surroundings. Our favorite part of the cottages was the privacy of the William & Mildred suite, it is the biggest unit (basically 2 units in one) and made us feel totally at home. The two bathrooms were luxurious!! Soft towels, E&O shampoos, conditioners, lotions...looooved the Jacuzzi tub, must have taken 5 baths in one weekend! Lots of memorabilia from her parents romance made this one of the most romantic rooms we've stayed in. Lots of little furnishings & touches throughout, imagine walking in to a room hearing Glen Miller and HAVE to love the retro camel bar! Welcome cookies, a bag of local coffee beans and a bottle of wine greeted us for the birthday celebration. Only one hot tub on the site, but whenever we went, we always had it to ourselves. So romantically lit with low hanging branches, very secluded you feel you have the place all to yourselves. We definitely would return!!
