The unique architecture, having been a palace before a hotel, makes this accommodation very charming. The entire staff was very nice and very helpful. We highly recommend this location. No negative comments.

If you want to experience history, convenient location and luxury, coming here is a MUST. I visit here for my birthday in October and I felt like I was in another world. My absolute favorite experience here was the massage and groto! 5stars!! Everyone was friendly and seriously this place is exceptional. You want to feel like royalty and the convenience of all the shops in walking distance was perfect!! I can’t get over how lovely this palace is!! Breakfast was great and so was the complimentary wine. The decor is well maintained and beautiful. I loved having two balconies! I cannot wait to comeback!!

The hotel is within walking distance from the waterfront, dining, the tram stops and metro stations, and many major attractions that Lisbon has to offer. The staff is fantastic, very helpful and genuinely friendly. The property itself is beautiful. The breakfast was delicious, with so many choices. I can go on and on... We are dfinitely staying there again next time we are in Lisbon!

Lovely stay at this beautiful property. The interior is beautiful and room was updated and well appointed. Breakfast was fabulous with different stations. We enjoyed the dinner/concert experience as well. Reasonably close to restaurants, shopping, transportation and attractions.

This hotel was the best experience of the six hotels we stayed in over our 10 day vacation. The staff is super welcoming and helpful and their uniforms are magnificently charming. The location was fantastic for walking and touring the Old Town and there were plenty of dining options nearby. The room was quaint and fitting for the time period of that part of town. One fantastic highlight was the evening wine, bread, cheese, and olives in the hotel cellar. Pouring your own wine, any or all of three choices, out of a huge barrel and listening to classic Fado music in the relaxing atmosphere was one of the most memorable experiences we had the entire vacation. Highly recommend this hotel!

A Fantastic Stay in the Heart of Lisbon! I recently stayed at in Palácio das Especiarias in Lisbon, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The location is perfect—right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore Lisbon’s charming streets, historic sites, and vibrant nightlife. The room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully decorated, offering both comfort and style. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after a long day of sightseeing. I also appreciated the thoughtful amenities, from high-quality toiletries to the complimentary coffee and tea. The staff truly made the stay special. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and eager to help with recommendations for restaurants and attractions. Their hospitality added a personal touch that made me feel right at home. Breakfast was another highlight—delicious, fresh, and with plenty of options to suit all tastes. Whether enjoying a morning espresso or indulging in traditional Portuguese pastries, it was the perfect way to start the day.
