Amazing, one-of-a-kind place to stay but needs a lot more Attention
This place has such potential. The owners should spruce up the convent before offering it to guests. It used to be a bed and breakfast, but they changed over to vrbo. From the start we miscommunicated with Sharon. She wasn't getting our texts as far as arrival time. It's a STEEP, curvy downhill road to the front entry gates. Terrible after dark. The gates were closed, we were not given the code beforehand. Sharon had to meet us there after we called her. It took her 15 minutes to get to us to open the gates. Meanwhile, we were standing around with 2 hungry children. The place inside is stunning. It's like staying in a museum. But, it needs a thorough cleaning. The convent is not for everyone; however, if atmosphere and the allure of staying in a unique old Monastery is what you're after, then this is the place. Be sure and have a car (a small one). This place is secluded and in a steep valley.
