"Everything about the hotel was spot on. We were met at reception by Nicholas who couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Plenty of public parking spaces opposite the hotel entrance . Our room and the hotel was very clean and nicely decorated Excellent breakfast, would highly recommend, good value "

"The hotel does have a few parking spaces right outside the door of the hotel and if a spot wasn't available, they were happy to park the car for you. The rooms were very clean and the hotel was within walking distance to shopping, dining options. "

"A fabulous hotel. What a privilege to be able to stay in Fontevraud-l’Abbaye Abbey. The ability to walk around after the public has gone up to 12.30 at night was amazing! The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel was beautiful. Take time to go to the restaurant in the Cloisters. Such an experience . Very highly recommend "

"A fascinating property with a history. Fabulous views of the chateau from the bedroom windows and from the courtyard. Right in the centre of Saumur, but had a large heated indoor swimming pool. The extra treat was the pool table and pinball machine. It was easy enough to reverse the cars into the courtyard with practice. It was lovely and convenient for restaurants, the chateau and the bakery. Gilles, our host was at the end of a phone if we needed him. Nicole the housekeeper made us welcome very efficiently and cheerfully. We'd definitely go again."
