The Space:
Our properties are designed to bring couples, families, and small groups together for a relaxing getaway, while offering the comforts of home. 'Deer Haven' gets its name from the frequent visits of deer and other wildlife in the scenic Blue Mountains.
The cabin features a professionally designed kitchen with everything you need, from quality cookware to top-tier appliances like a Vitamix blender, KitchenAid mixer, Instant Pot, and more. While there’s no full-size oven, the Calphalon® Performance Countertop Convection Oven and Air Fryer meet nearly all cooking needs. The kitchen island seats four, and the coffee station offers Keurig, cold press, and a selection of coffees and teas for your morning routine.
With two bedrooms and one full bath, 'Deer Haven' promises privacy and quiet seclusion, complete with blackout curtains for uninterrupted sleep. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and a washer/dryer for convenience.
Outside, the 275-square-foot screened-in porch provides extra living space, perfect for enjoying outdoor meals or relaxing with a book. The lower patio offers a propane grill, seating, and a hot tub—ideal for unwinding in nature.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire cabin including screened-in porch, patio, and hot tub. The crawl space under the cabin should only be accessed in the event of an emergency.
The Neighborhood:
Deer Haven is nestled in the small mountain community of Skyland Estates in Virginia's Blue Mountains. The area is a mix of full-time residents, second homes, and short term rentals.
Getting Around:
While we encourage you to take a stroll using the mountain roads, a vehicle will be required to reach nearby attractions. The property can easily accommodate up to two vehicles in the driveway.

VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS
The final stretch of roads leading to the property is unpaved but well maintained. Most of the year, 2WD vehicles can access the property without issue. However, during snow or icy conditions, 4WD or AWD may be recommended or required. We will notify you in advance if winter or severe weather is expected, offering guidance on safe access. Full refunds are typically only provided if the property is inaccessible for more than 24 hours by 4WD or AWD vehicles.
PET POLICY
We welcome up to two dogs at the property! Please include them in your reservation, and a pet fee will be added. Additional dogs may be allowed on a case-by-case basis, subject to extra fees to cover potential wear and cleaning. Per Airbnb and Virginia regulations, emotional support animals are considered pets and subject to fees. Service animals are always welcome—please inform us in advance so we can notify our cleaning team.
GUEST SAFETY & WELLNESS
Your safety and well-being are our top priority. All bedding, including sheets, quilts, and blankets, are washed between reservations. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are installed in all bedrooms, and fire extinguishers are available throughout the property. The cabin also features a Minut sound monitoring device in the hallway, which monitors noise levels (without recording audio) to ensure a peaceful environment.
REFUND POLICY
We offer two refund options. The non-refundable option provides a discount, but refunds are only issued in accordance with Airbnb’s extenuating circumstances policy.
