Es war ein wirklich schönes Hotel. Unser Aufenthalt hat uns sehr gefallen. Es gab eine Kleinigkeit als Geschenk an der Zimmertür, wenn man das Zimmer nicht reinigen lässt. Wir haben sogar eine Aktive-Karte bekommen, wo wir kostenlos in den Waldwipfelweg gehen konnten. Am ersten Tag der Anreise gab es beim Frühstück Mettwurst. Welche ich persönlich sehr gerne mag. Am zweiten Tag gab es diese leider nicht. Auf Nachfrage habe ich allerdings eine kleine Schüssel bekommen, was ich sehr toll fand. Ich war hier sehr begeistert davon. Kundenservice wird hier wirklich groß geschrieben. Der einzige und größte Nachteil ist definitiv der Wellnessbereich. Hier sollte definitiv mal renoviert werden. Auch in unserem Zimmer gab es große Feuchtigkeits Probleme. Uns hat es nicht so groß gestört allerdings sieht es wirklich nicht schön aus und sollte dringend mal gemacht werden. Wir kommen definitiv irgendwann wieder.

Personal und Essen hervorragend. Das Hotel müsste aber dringend renoviert werden. Der Lift war defekt und wurde auch während unseres Aufenthaltes nicht repariert. Das Schwimmbad ist marode und es ist sehr laut in dem Bereich (Lüftung?)

Der Ahornhof ist ein gemütlich-modernes Hotel mit durchweg sehr freundlichem und aufmerksamen Personal. Das Essen war beim Frühstück und beim Abendessen sehr lecker, die Auswahl groß, auf Wünsche wurde umgehend eingegangen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Ich habe mich rundum wohlgefühlt. Ich bin mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln angereist, was zunächst einmal durchaus eine Herausforderung darstellt. Aber der ÖPNV ist auch im Bayrischen Wald gut ausgebaut. (Nach 17:00 Uhr wird es aber schon etwas schwierig mit ÖPNV wegzukommen, obwohl die meisten Gaststätten erst 17:00 Uhr öffnen). Und nun zum Hotel : ja es hat einen Flair aus den 90iger Jahren. Aber insgesamt sauber und auch ein ansehnlicher Wellnessbereich mit Schwimmbad und 2 finnischen Saunen, welche für Hotelgäste kostenlos sind. Ein gutes reichliches Frühstücksbuffet eröffnet den Tag. Vom Hotel aus sind Wanderungen in die nähere Umgebung zum Falkenstein oder zum Zwiesler Waldhaus möglich. Tagsüber - auch am Wochenende - verkehrt der Falkensteinbus (Transport PKW mit 9 oder 12 Sitzen) in regelmäßigen Abständen nach Zwiesel zum Bahnhof - Stadtplatz /Schottbrunnen - Busbahnhof. Die Fahrt ist für Hotelgäste kostenlos, da die Fahrten mit ÖPNV im Bayerischen Wald mit der Gäste Karte (Guti) integriert sind. Auch die in der Gästekarte enthaltene aktivecard ist der Erwähnung wehrt, denn sie hat einen echten Mehrwert. Viele Eintritte in Museen (Grenzmuseum Bayerisch Eisenstein, Glasmuseum Zwiesel, Naturkundehaus Zwiesel usw) oder auch Freizeiteinrichtungen wie zum Beispiel das Erlebnisbad Zwiesel (ZEB) mit Dampf - und Kräutersauna und das Hallenbad in Bodenmais sind für täglich 3h kostenlos nutzbar. Weitere includierte Leistungen kann man im Internet erfragen.
