Value and location in central island. Our spacious two bedroom vacation condo townhouse that sleeps 4 adults in the 2 bedrooms, and up to 2 small children on hide-a-bed sofa in living room. Combo Playpen/crib (foldable) available to use. Best part is unit is just 100 steps from the hillside pool and BBQ area or walk across the street about 1 block to Kalapaki Beach. This is a unique condominium in Banyan Harbor (BH), a well-maintained owner-owned property rated 4.3 stars. Our unit is mostly absence of roadside traffic noise due to its upper hillside location. It is a lovely 2-level design townhouse is desirable due to location as closest buildings to beautiful hilltop swimming pool & BBQ area, and tennis courts. Free parking in your own assigned covered parking space directly below the unit, with 2 stairways to our front door. Partial ocean views. Trendy Hawaiian furniture & decor. Sit outdoors for breakfast or cocktails on lanai/patio with small table and chairs. Fun to watch large Cruise ships enter the harbor - three a week - quite a sight! Both bedrooms are on the upper floor. Kitchen, living room, 1/2 bathroom, dining table, and patio/lanai on first floor where you enter. Stairs shown photographs from parking space to condo front door. All stairs have handrails. Coffee Maker, bogie boards, small coolers and folding beach chairs and beach towels. Plus: good part is there are no neighbors above this unit.
Fast wireless FREE WiFi internet on premises included. Ceiling fans in all rooms. 13.42% Hawaii (approx $179 a week) state tourism tax.
■ Lihue/Nawiliwili Harbor - centrally located area on Hawaii's Garden Island, and so convenient with it is mid-island and easy to drive to Popui Beach or Princeville. Total of 148 all-suite condominiums in complex located overlooking historic Nawiliwili area. Complex was built in1970's, they are two-story low-rise buildings on the hillside and street level overlooking a working shipyard and protected harbor of local fishing boats. Surrounded by fun shopping, 12 restaurants, activities and entertainment.
■ Why stay in a one room hotel room? Better when you can spread out in the living room, sleep in a separate bedroom, washer/dryer inside condo. Save money and time by eating breakfast or packing lunches for day trips. Easy to BBQ meals and eat at pool area 2 minute walk.
■ Comfortable, older complex, great central location to either Poipu Beach (25 minutes drive) or Princeville North Shore is beautiful ocean and jungle feel 45 minutes drive.
■ Easy one block walk to two smaller shopping centers. Across from street, and a 5 minute walk down the beach to luxury Sonesta hotel property with vendor “Beach Boys” Rental stand where you can rent stand up paddle boards SUP, small sail boats, surfboards, take surf lessons, or enjoy unique outrigger canoe rides. Large sandy beach - complete with grassy picnic areas and numerous palm trees.
■ Within 2 miles: Three golf courses, Kauai’s largest shopping center mall, Kauai’s largest movie theatre. Costco, Safeway Grocery, and Farmer's Markets. Local mini-bus shuttle cost about $2. to Lihue town, shopping center or Walmart.
■ Fast & Free WiFi, cable TV. There are movie rentals available in the BH complex lobby for $3. An activities office where the staff can help you arrange best deals on ATV rides, ziplines, sunset dinner cruises, free maps and suggest good local places to eat is located in lobby office.
Afternoon Check-in 3:30 pm and Morning Check Out time is 10:30 am.
This condo is nice size, quality furnishings, convenient kitchen, ocean views and island location. I strive to set my vacation condo far apart with personal touches. Beautiful maghonany hand carved Master bedroom furniture hand carved in Bali.
Quiet here, too - very relaxing. Suggest while checking other units advertising for Banyan Harbor, ask if on ground level near the road, views or provide air conditioning in all rooms. Most units offered near main road will experience vehicle noises from local traffic that is noticeable.
POOL: This condo is in the closest building to the Pool Area with main BBQ area. Good sized heated salt-brine pool, perfect setting to relax overlooking turquoise waters of Kalapaki Bay. Pool Area has Restrooms, BBQ’s, lounge chairs, lawn area for kids, and picnic tables in a fenced area. Tennis and pickle ball courts to play for all ages. Office has free rentals for courts.
BEACH: Kalapaki beach across the street offers many benefits: One of the safest, clean swimming public beaches in Kauai as it is protected by the Harbor. Many locals outrigger canoes, Stand Up paddle boards, or surfers here. No fear of giant crashing waves if you have small children, elderly or a new to ocean swimming.
