"We were wowed by the tree-lined long drive leading to an amazing log cabin lodge surrounded by woods and a view of the Chickahominy river through the trees. We were a group of four women, enjoying an annual reunion together and had plenty of space to relax and enjoy. The comfort of the bedrooms and the use of indoor and outdoor fireplaces in the chilly weather made it all the more memorable. The homeowner was minutes away to replenish some needed items. "We stayed this past week with our two dogs, and it was a wonderful family vacation. We stayed in the Blacksmith Cottage, which was fully-furnished with everything we needed. The kitchen was clean and well-stocked with pots and pans, and the oven and fridge were great to have. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. "Lovely stop over on our way to family. Beautiful home decorated for the holidays and had all the amenities we needed plus little snacks! We got to the a beautiful sunset off the dock and our twins got their own rooms and bathroom. It would’ve cost more to get two rooms at Williamsburg hotel. So happy we got to stay here! Would love to stay the week during summertime! Beautiful home and location! "
