"Location, location, location! "

"Lovely modern clean hotel. 10 - 15 minute walk from Oslo Sentral Station. 5 minute walk form Opera House and the sea. Very friendly check-in, check-out, restaurant and breakfast dining staff. Good breakfast selection. Nice breakfast siting area - relaxing and well decorated. My room was a good size for one person and very clean. I was there for two nites. They have a sign to show that you do not need a room clean every day, which I used - a very good idea. This was my third stay in this hotel this year - so it must be good if I have returne!"

"Thon hotel opera is in walking distance from most tourist attractions or you can catch an uber if you don’t want to walk. This hotel did not disappoint. Heated floors in the bathroom, bathtubs, toiletries,and a minibar are all available depending on the floor plan you get. The breakfast was wonderful, so many options to choose from and very clean establishment. I have no complaints other than Oslo was very pricey."

"Karl Johan is a fantastic option for a stay in Oslo. The biggest pros: the central location, within walking distance to everything; the large, fresh breakfast selection; and the spacious rooms. We were surprised by the room size, especially compared to other European-style hotels—they’re quite large and overlook the street. I had read a few complaints about loud music, but we didn’t experience anything like that; it was generally quiet, even on the weekend. The building has a charming old-world style, and we really had no complaints. It felt like great value for the cost for our group, spread across three different rooms."

"It's a good place to stay if you plan to drop your stuff off and go. The rooms and beds are small but have your bare necessities. Very clean and the WiFi was great for letting things download while your away. "
