Enjoyed our stay at this lovely place. It was very clean, well appointed, nicely decorated and in a great location. It's within walking distance to all locations in Lexington - colleges, dining and shopping. Owner was easy to communicate with prior and during our visit. Highly recommend this lovely place and will definitely return.
The castle is the most charming place I’ve ever stayed! So clean, quaint, and the prime location for discovering downtown Lexington. The perfect place for a weekend away!
The Castle was just as advertised. Location was great. Easy to access the town of Lexington as well as W&L. Communication with Mary was great. The space was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Will definitely stay here again.
The Castle is just perfect. One of the best places I have stayed! Super clean, easy access and perfect location. The private balcony was so nice to enjoy my morning coffee and evening quiet time. Personal touches like fresh oranges and breakfast snacks were a welcomed surprise! I can’t wait to take my husband there next time.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the historic “Castle” in Lexington. It has been completely refurbished and is very comfortable. It is also conveniently located in downtown Lexington one block off of Main Street. It makes for an easy walk for shopping and dining, and to VMI and W&L. I highly recommend it.
Amazing location, clean, comfy, historical, everything you need - absolutely perfect!! Hosts are fantastic - friendly, accommodating, and super helpful! It is a gem!
Cozy, lovely, quiet, spotless and comfortable - all in a beautiful, historical building in downtown Lexington. The communication from the owners was great and very informative. Loved my stay!!
Very nice and clean property. Right in the heart of Lexington. I was able to walk to dinner/drinks at night. Really a perfect place. Will stay here every time I travel to Lexington.
We love visiting Lexington and now we have a new favorite place to stay. This property has it all the luxuries of a modern home yet it's one of the oldest buildings in Lexington. Very cool place! The location can't be beat and the host, Mary, was very welcoming. We will definitely stay here again....and again!
My husband and I enjoyed our weekend stay at The Castle. It was well equipped with everything we needed. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the terrace in the evenings. The spot was very convenient to W&L.
This apartment offers perfect comfort for 2 with a full living room , kitchen, patio and queen bedroom. It is within walking distance to both W &L and VMI and all downtown restaurants. Mary was an attentive and gracious hostess. It was perfect for our needs.
My better half and I wanted a quick getaway. Property is elegant & charming. Turnkey stay -- everything we needed was at hand. Upscale soap and shampoo in the bathroom. A nice bottle of local wine and fruit/snack basket took it over the top.
Highly recommended.
We were the first to reserve this property and we sincerely hope there will be many more take time to relax and restore at this beautiful property. The "Castle" is an excellent little flat in the middle of the Lexington, very quiet area and centrally located to everything within a few minutes walk. Well decorated and very comfortable sleeping area. The terrace overlooking the yard is very peaceful and relaxing. Thank you and cheers to future rentals.
From my arrival to departure, my stay was perfect in every way. The Castle was historic (a history was provided in the welcome folder) with comfortable and attractive furniture and decor. The location was quiet, but a short walk to the downtown and colleges. A beautiful patio adjoined the living room, overlooking trees and gardens. Birds sang in the trees, and a horse-drawn carriage was a block away, adding the lovely sound of the clip clop of hooves! The bed was very comfortable, the bath tiled and sparkling clean! A wonderful, efficient kitchen separates the living and bedroom areas. My host responded to every question and need, and her service was beyond superb! I attended graduation events at a nearby college, and I looked forward to coming back here to rest and refresh. I highly recommend this property - much to enjoy!
This was our first stop on our two-week vacation. It was a way to decompress before starting our "actual" vacation. The house was lovely, and we especially enjoyed the outside space for morning coffee and evening adult beverages. It is located very centrally to the restaurants and bars and the area felt extremely safe. The house was very well-appointed, and although I did not have time to make a meal there, I am sure I could have whipped up anything in the kitchen. Communication with the hosts was excellent and checkin/access to the house was a breeze. Parking was very easy and felt very secure. Highly recommend this lovely property for a nice couples getaway. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
This property is a jewel: small (just right for two!) but so, so beautiful. It is in a historic structure, with fabulous thick walls and operable screened windows with wooden shutters set into them, hardwood floors, high ceilings and tons of authenticity. The decor is just perfect for an old southern flat, with just the right amount of necessities for living and cooking for a week, and not a spec more. Mary, our host, was communicative and we had no trouble accessing the unit, nor did we lack for a thing. We will stay there every time we are in the area. Loved it.
