Christmas visit to family.
We have stayed here on multiple occasions. This property provides a very family friendly place to stay. Everything that you’d have in your own home you will find here. Very clean and neat. Plenty of room to move about and relax. The hosts are friendly and cordial.

In town for a funeral
We were in town for a funeral. The house is very charming, cozy, roomy, well equipped, nice big yard, fire pit, had free YouTube TV in every room. It was really nice to have the peace and quiet during our stay. We highly recommend Margie’s Place. We know where we are staying next time we are in town hopefully if available! Lake just down the street.

Excellent Extended Stay
My experience for a recent extended stay at this home was exceptional. The host couple provided very thorough information from the initial e-mail communication I had with them through to the last morning of my stay. The home is well equipped and the coffee and k-cups provided were an extra special touch. As I was in the Columbia area for just over two weeks for work it was sure nice having this home to come to each evening. I would definitely stay here again.

Awesome vacation home!
This property is just beautiful! We rented in conjunction with our wedding. Had a pre-ceremony meet & greet with our families. There were so many compliments from family. The space & layout was perfect. Abundance of towels, toiletries, coffee bar, extra blankets, 2 fridges, plenty of parking, w/d, & Roku TVs in every room! With properties like this, I’m inclined to never stay in another hotel/lodging facility ever again Rent Margie’s Place!

High school girls get-together
Margie's Place was a perfect place to gather to visit, have meals, sit on the front porch, and relax! There were seven of us who don't see each other often since they live in different parts of Virginia. Some enjoyed walking the dam and the trails at Saluda Shoals Park while others just wanted to sit and read. We are in our mid-70's with various mobility issues so the house is accessible with a few steps but with grab bars where needed. Having 3 bathrooms and bedrooms as well as confortable couches and chairs was great! The kitchen was amazing with lots of dishes, glasses, pots, pans.We would definitely return!

Another Excellent Stay
This is the second time that I have had the opportunity to stay in this home. Hal and Linda (the homeowners) once again ensured that every detail is looked after. I have stayed in several different homes over the past couple of years and this one checks all of the boxes! The kitchen is fully stocked to cook in and there are plenty of dishes and silverware for enjoying meals in the home. There is a wonderful coffee bar with all of the supplies for both drip coffee or Keurig which is a very nice addition for starting the mornings. The beds are comfortable with extra blankets supplied, if needed. There are multiple options for relaxing including a nice library/study room to escape to if you would like some quiet, a wonderful living room with very comfortable furniture and a sunroom. Each of the bedrooms and living/family spaces are equipped with a TV and access to streaming TV services provided by the host. I can go on and on about all of the wonderful things that this home has to offer. I very much look forward to staying here again when in the Columbia area for work.

It was a nice relaxing stay for my hubby and I. We were expecting a few of our grandchildren. But they had a change of plans. We enjoyed the front porch and home to ourselves considering we work in different states, it was a great midpoint and we plan to come back.

Thanksgiving Retreat!
We had a wonderful family holiday at Margie’s Place. Such a warm and welcoming home. Fully stocked with all the extras well thought out. Gathering around the fire pit was a highlight. Close to Lake Murray the area has so much to offer. What a great place to spend a long weekend. The hosts, Hal and Linda make you feel so at home!
