"Just returned from a 3 night stay at this lodge out in the country. On arrival the lodge was very cold and being a cold mortal myself, we had put on all of the plug in radiators to warm up. The bathroom was particularly cold, but the whole lodge soon became cosy. Please note there is no central heating in the lodge. The host had left us 2 small scones with jam and clotted cream in the fridge, along with some milk, teabags and a small jar of sugar. There was also 2 rolls of toilet paper in the...

Improvement could be made on the cleanliness, we found mouldy food in the fridge and insects on the kitchen work tops, and had to hoover dust and sand out of the draw’s before putting clothes in.An outside tap for rinsing beach stuff would be a good addition "

"We stayed at the Buttercups Lodge. It was a very comfortable stay and also very serene and peaceful. The location of the lodge is ideal for a family or couple who want to go exploring different parts of Devon and also a drive to Cornwall. The lodge has everything you need and the view of Dartmoor is absolutely breathtaking from it. Andrew and Sally were brilliant hosts and kept in communication with us whenever we needed it.
