"We had a lovely time we were close to many tourist attractions which allowed us to visit a few. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. The food was well presented and very filling and tasty. The only downside was that the room had no fridge. A necessity to keep water bottles cold in the beautiful hot days that we had. "

"I’ve stayed here a few times and the hotel itself is lovely, but on this occasion my room stank of cigarette smoke for 3 days straight, couldn’t get away from the smell, as an asthmatic I wasn’t happy the hotel let this happen "

"Gorgeous property with friendly staff. Beautiful room with comfortable beds. We enjoyed our stay even though we were placed in the adjacent building without elevator (carrying our heavy luggage upstairs was a pain). The restaurant is wonderful, but the spa was closed during our stay, bummer! Check the schedule if planning on using the spa"

"We stayed 3 nights. The location is about a 17 minute walk from the bus station. Take Pearse Street, there is less of an incline. The room was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean with plenty of shelf space, nice towels and spacious shower area. The drain was a little sluggish but it did work. We liked the big windows as they made the room more airy & bright. If you keep the windows closed at night, it reduces the traffic noise. The on-site restaurant was also good. "This is a beautiful hotel and setting, very clean and comfortable, there is a restaurant & bar attached to it but only opens from 5pm, there is no breakfast facilities however there is tea & coffee in the room. Nearby cafe that do excellent breakfast and food. The only downside is that we had an issue with no hot water or heating on the last evening & day so a very cold shower on the day of checking out. "Beautiful location with direct beach access. Could do with some TLC around the property along with more kitchen utensils, mugs, pans etc. Could only find a couple of towels for 8 people, fortunately we had taken a few with us."

A bit of paradise in Ireland

"Loved this cottage with history. We stayed in Rodden (not Owl) cottage, on the same property, and it was delightful. Lots of stone and heavy timbers, beautiful updating recently. A storm had knocked out water to Owl, so our host offered us Rodden, very accommodating. Only complaint was the fuel oil smell in the downstairs bedroom."
