There was hair on the bathtub, a toilet that was from the 1950's and so low to the floor it was difficult to use; there was a tissue container on the wall with sharp edges because it was supposed to be mounted IN the wall. The furniture was depressing and old. The TV was small screen and it didn't work. Oh, there was a leftover, already open travel bottle of shampoo-and soap the size of a domino. I asked for a refund for the broken TV and the manager said it was impossible for him to give me anything back.
This is a dump and what is worse, it has a good location and it used to be a charming, 1950's or 60's middle-class motel. There are hints of this in the yellow and green tile in the bathroom with it's disgusting cheap, plastic tub.
Last, when I arrived on a very hot afternoon after driving 6 hours, the air conditioning was turned off and all the windows were open. The room was uninhabitable for any living thing except an African animal who loves the heat. I had to turn on the AC, close the windows and leave.
