Cozy 3 bed 2 bath home nestled right along the banks of Rough River with little boat traffic. A community boat ramp is conveniently located behind house and the main lake is only a 15 min boat ride away. Only a short drive to the beaches of Rough River State Park. Plenty of sleeping area with King and Queen bedrooms and a Bunk room with 5 twin beds. The oversized garage will store a boat or kayaks while you visit. Enjoy a game of ping pong, pool or cozy up by the firepit!! Perfect for fishing!

The place was great. The hot tub, river access, peace and quiet. Just what the Mrs and I needed. Plus got to bring out beloved Chloe Bell with us. We're definitely coming back.

Nice Place & Clean!!!
We had a very nice stay and the owners were very kind. The place was clean and comfortable. There was an issue with the laundry machine not working but the owners came out and replaced it with a new one immediately so we could enjoy the rest of our stay. The bonus game room was a hit for the whole family and we all had a great time overall. Definitely recommend!

Great stay and located about an hour away from several different things to do. We had a good time visiting the mammoth caves and corvette museum. The game room was fun for the kids to play in. The host was responsive when we ran into a small issue with the thermostat. Great experience!

Great property!
My family and I absolutely enjoyed our time at this location. The house was spotless and the owner was very interactive with any questions we had. Also easy, beautiful back roads trip to Mammoth Caves. Did some fishing in the river as well!

Such a peaceful drive to the property. Very quiet neighborhood. Home was extremely clean and relaxing. The beds were so comfy and the back deck was a great place to relax.

Homey hideaway
Our stay was fantastic. We especially enjoyed the deck and the hot tub, with views of the river and mountains. We were an hou'rs drive (and centrally located) to great outdoor activities in Mammoth Cave and Bernheim Forest. We also enjoyed coffee in nearby Leitchfield. The house was very clean and comfortably furnished. We appreciated the well-stocked game room, and had all the equipment we need to cook breakfast and dinner. The hosts were kind and responsive. Thank you for a great trip!

Had a great weekend at a great property. If I was going to own a lake property, I would want a setup like this. Pole barn was fantastic place for all of us to gather with plenty of room

Fall Break Family Trip
This property was great! We spent a long weekend with extended family with activities in Mammoth Cave and Louisville (both about a little over an hour away) and this was a perfect base for what we were doing. The game garage provided great downtime entertainment for the kids (ages between 7 and 17) and the house was very clean, beds were comfortable, had everything needed, and the hot tub was icing on the cake!

Nice Getaway
Loved this place! Nice and quiet and in the middle of nowhere! Great access to the river. We came to hike with our dogs at the surrounding parks. Did not disappoint at all! Super clean, well furnished house and the hot tub is great!

Great getaway
We stayed for 3 nights. The accommodations were great. A wonderful home away from home. Has everything you need for a peaceful getaway. Very well maintained and the owners answered all questions very promptly. It's a bit of a drive to stores and restaurants,so be sure to stop on the way to pick up your food and drinks but everything else is there. So pack your bags and head out to a relaxing vacation.

Enjoyed by the whole family!
Very roomy and clean! Big well stocked kitchen. Teenagers loved the game room. Fire pit, deck, and hot tub enjoyed by all. A bit of a hike for restaurants and stores, but we wanted to be away from commerce, so that worked for us. Host was very helpful and readily available to answer questions. Definitely enjoyed our visit to this property.

Can not speak highly enough for David. The only bad was not the renters fault neighbors dog barks constantly. Overall it was fantastic as with all properties a few minor issues. No doubt I would return and recommend.

Perfect for a relaxing stay
Great place! Home was roomie even with 8 of us. The game room was perfect for when it rained. We were able to rent some kayaks and go down the river! Plus with the river basically in the backyard, my husband and dad could fish the whole time. The communication with the host was amazing. He was very prompt with helping to answer any questions I had beforeand during our stay. Easy drive from Cincy! Highly recommended!!

A Cute and Practical Stay!
A few friends and I stayed here for a weekend trip. It's about an hour and a half drive from Mammoth Cave, so a decent option if you'd like to visit and aren't staying directly in the area. While it's in a neighborhood, it's nice and quiet. The kitchen is fully equipped. The patio out back is a great spot to hang and drink your morning coffee. The hot tub is in great condition, just watch out for that first step out on the back porch on your way out there. It can be easy to miss. There's not a great spot to hang your towels, so make sure you keep a chair nearby, etc. If you get a chance, make sure to make your way down to the river behind the property. It's gorgeous!

A Cozy Cottage
We spent two nights in this cottage as a stopping point on our way home from Gatlinburg. We just wanted a place to stay to break up the trip back and to just relax on the way home. I am really glad we chose this cottage. The cottage was so nice. Check in and check out was the easiest of any rental places we have ever stayed. The cottage was clean and fully stocked with everything we needed, even spices. We enjoyed the game room and the hot tub. We didn't get to enjoy the fire pit, we bought wood, but we just never got around to using it, so we left the wood for the next renter. The beds were totally comfortable and we slept well Communication with the host was quick and friendly. We totally enjoyed our time here and would not hesitate to stay again.

Great host/House has issues
We rented this house for our anniversary trip, upon arrival the house was extremely dirty. This was brought to the hosts attention and he refunded our stay since we had to stay elsewhere. He was very kind and apologetic. The house was nice, just needed properly cleaned. I assume the cleaning people were doing the bare minimum, if anything at all and the host was unaware. I would not count this against him as this was brought to his attention and he was upset at the state of the house as well.
