It was really a terrible stay. I wonder why hotels.com is displaying this hotel. Very dirty atmosphere and bad smell in the hotel.

Wife andi stayed for one night . The young receptionist was lovely and enthusiastic running from rooms to bar to reception. And thanks for the free drink on arrival! Definitely put a positive on the hotel.

Cheap and basic but get a good night's sleep.
Friendly staff. It's basic but if you are looking for a cheap gettaway with absolutely no frills this meets the bill. On a busy bus route into Leicester so great transport links. Fish and chips, Pizza etc nearby. I needed a few days rest and this did the job.

Property was a "Budget" Hotel, hence the price.. Situated on the corner of main road, with car parking at back, checked in at 1pm no problem, checked out at 0330 next morning for work... Rooms very basic, but bed was clean and shower bathroom was adequate for my needs.. Seemed safe enough, sturdy lock on the door, I found no problem with the booking, as new this was a very basic hotel.. Pubs/takeaways/restaurants within walking distance, absolutely no problems (but won't suit everyone). Staff were pleasant.

Poor hotel
First room didnt lock, so they gave me another one. Water pressure poor in the shower, no kettle or cups or coffee ect. TV didnt work, they tried convincing me the tv was smart, it wasn't, no wifi, smell of cannabis throughout the hallways, pillows needed replacing as they were flat.

Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel old and in poor condition. Desperately in need of revamp! Rooms with broken or missing fittings and in need of redecoration. Fire exit stairwell partially blocked by bags and cleaning materials. External glass door to reception only partially opens as did one of the fire doors on first floor. Room noisy because of broken air con unit next door - had to be moved to new room as could not sleep because noise so loud.

Don't expect much!!
This was a last minute booking, I didn't expect much for the price but got less than low expectations. I've stayed in many a tiered hotel, but with the check-in via the bar, the walk though to room was sented with cannibis and the room was in a state of disrepair. I got the impression that the hotel was used for the homless, which isn't an issue but the rooms aren't what a paying guest should get. It was really disappointing as a little investment and it could be a nice place to stay.

Bedding was clean. Unfortunately very tired and botched. The overall cleanliness of the room was quite bad, as were tall we noticed rubbish on top shelf of the wardrobe etc. the lock on the bedroom door was also very weak. Also a little disappointed there was only one mug and 2 sachets of coffee only (no milk, sugar, tea etc). Could really do with a little attention spent on the cleaning and changeovers. And in time could do with being updated though understand this isn’t always feasible. Still a comfortable stay and the staff on reception were very happy and friendly.

I can’t say I was expecting to much considering it was a late evening check in and I intended to just use it to get my head down. The place is ramshackle and in need of a coat of paint. The other guests woke me in the early hours of the morning screaming outside of the room. That’s not the hotels fault, I understand but It does attract particular clientele. Free parking outside is welcome but it does not feel safe. For the price I would have expected better but I sort of had a feeling of what I was getting myself into. Every room everywhere is expensive these days so one must tamper their expectations I feel. It didn’t feel dirty just in need of some tlc

Room had no number or sign on it so couldn’t find it. Pregnant needing toilet with 2 year old and all luggage. No curtain pole. Curtain was folded over net string, hanging over beds so suffocation hazard for toddler. Head of beds on radiator. Laminate of wardrobe hanging off. Loose grouting all over bathroom floor getting stuck to feet. Big stain on carpet. Unfinished paint on walls. Room not the same as pictured. More like a spare room. No free breakfast included as stated on hotels.com Morning number 2 staff tried to fix it and give us free breakfast. Didn’t take any orders was just cooking something. Took 1 hour and a half for food to arrive. Receptionist said that the chef had a late night so he wasn’t up in time for 8.30 breakfast as agreed night before.

Worst
I had booked a double room hotel which had been labels their comfort room however nothing about this room was remotely comforting instead I had gotten a singal bed with a very hard mattress so me and my partner had the worst night's sleep of our lives and I'm pregnant. The toilet seat was broken and upon using hurt myself. The check in counter was closed so didn't know who to talk to that night. This morning the day after I tried to politely speak to staff about these issues not for the sake of a refund but to make them aware of the issues before another traveler hurts them self. However the man I spoke to quickly became verbally aggressive and refused to listen and started shouting at me instead. The only staff member who seemed remotely nice a professional was the lady I spoke to. However the way the man had spoken to me was extremely rude, aggressive, and unprofessional.
