Cozy retreat in the woods

A lovely family vacation home in the woods. You will approach the house via a gravel road and enter the world of nature’s tranquility. Full sized kitchen with the granite countertops and all the equipment you need to whip up that special family meal. The piano in the main living room will awaken a musician in you. Enjoy a beautiful porch for family gatherings and conversations or star gazing at night. Outdoor charcoal grill is at your service for a cook out. During the day you can visit historic Jim Thorpe (5 min away) and the surrounding area. During the summer enjoy a splash in the pool at the Ukrainian Homestead. During winter time hit the slopes at the major ski resorts that are 20-50 min away. After an eventful day, take a rest in our tastefully appointed bedrooms and an outside hot tub. We have children’s corner with toys and legos in the basement living room. We hope you fall in love with the nature’s tranquility and beauty just like we did. For the safety of our guests, there is outside video monitoring. Please note there is absolutely NO PETS of any kind allowed in the house due to severe family pet dander allergies (we also use this home as our weekend retreat throughout the year). Nice clean home, loved the hot tub! Enjoyed the chocolates and nespresso! Loved exploring Jim Thorpe and also enjoyed hiking local trails. The house was great!

Wonderful family weekend getaway. The home was exactly as described. Extremely clean, had everything we needed for the weekend. The owners were quick with response and even had chocolates and starbucks coffee pods waiting for us.

We had a wonderful time in this cabin! It was close enough to Jim Thorpe that you didn’t even know you were in a separate town and the cabin itself was very clean, including the hot tub!

Place is amazing, love the wrap around porch, so quite, saw some deer a couple mornings, there is a lot to do very close to this cabin, would definitely recommend to anyone

We were impressed with this property during our weekend visit to the Mahoning Drive In Theater. The location is close to the event which was very convenient. The property is excellently maintained, with amenities readily available. The house is modern but homey. The multiple bedrooms and bathrooms made it a comfortable stay for my group of three. The host was quick to provide information and made us feel very welcome.

Cozy retreat in the woods
Every fall my best friend and I schedule a girls weekend as we don't live in the same state. We choose the area near Jim Thorpe and I found this lovely VRBO listed. It is in a wooded area surrounded by trees (and other homes). With it being fall, the trees were a gorgeous color. The area was quiet and was close to Jim Thorpe and other fun things in the area. The house was spotless and able to accommodate a lot of people.

House was great and location was perfect.
House was clean and everything worked as it should including the hot tub. Only issue I had was with the neighbor who kept letting his unleashed 150lb plus dog out on me and my son numerous times. It would come onto the property and the homeowner would just stare us down as we would have to run back into the house to get away from this thing. This happened two nights in a row around 8:45 at night. Pretty sure it was the neighbors way of telling us to go inside and go to bed. Very strange and rude.

A welcoming and comfortable home
We enjoyed staying at this home in Lehighton. There were enough bedrooms for everyone in the family, with everything we needed supplied - pillows, sheets, blankets. The kitchen and bathroom were fully supplied for our needs, and everything was neat and clean when we arrived. Our family loved having a TV in the living room and downstairs family room, and we enjoyed walking through the neighborhood. The house was located close to the sites in Jim Thorpe and Lehighton. Yhe house was The check-in ptocess was easy

What a great location! My friend and I booked this spot for the Fall Fest in Jim Thorpe. We were close enough to town to get in early and find great parking but far enough away to enjoy the calm of the Fall evening. I've been using vrbo for many years, and this one stands out! Very clean, and they thought of everything. A small thing I appreciate is a full-length mirror and enough places to hang coats, towels, etc. It's a minor request, but it's nice to have. Well, this place had a mirror in each room and a towel rack. Wonderful! Lots of beds and extra sleeping space but not crowded. The house looks small from the outside but is spacious inside. All the dishes and cookware, a nice porch outside that we used at night, clean bathrooms. All in all - a very great location. Definitely would book again!
