Cute, quaint & whimsical
Property was very cute, quaint... almost whimiscal & fairy tale-ish. Asdie from a few quirks it really was a great place for our family of 6 adults. They enjoyed walking the area, there was a mini golf course, pizza place up the street & the ice cream shop. Property is close to Hershey park (where we spent 2 of our days exploring), grocery stores & pretty much any thing needed. My favorite part was the beautiful patio area that I visited each morning with my coffee. A few things the place needs is a deep cleaning inside & out. Lots of cobwebs & dusty smell when you first enter. Not all the windows open so it was hard to get circulation going. Couldn't get any TV channels or wifi on the TV, but me being mom, was ok with that. :) The stairs are very steep & narrow & we found the house sloped in several areas. Area was beautiful & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful house and location
Loved the house. Quiet. Peaceful. A few things I’d like to point out. The downstairs shower was more of a dribble than a shower. Basement had water on the floor. Ironing board should be replaced and put upstairs. It’s so rusty and gross the rust came off in my hands. I couldn’t get it to fold up. The grig had 3 plates of old pizza. We left our condiments there as we didn’t have a cooler. Opened them on Monday so have cleaner take them. Loved all the night lights.

Nice little getaway
The house was super cute. We always use our vacations as a moment to disconnect and reconnect. We spent the week eating good food and talking. Some of the downsides in my opinion were the hottub that did not heat. The bugs that were everywhere it was a wooded area so I totally get it. The TV was also an issue zero channels. I brought my work computer so I could catch up some things so we used it as our TV for the week. It wasn't my favorite place we've spent but it served it's purpose. We had a lovely time despite the hiccups

Nostalgic family vacation!
We had a very nice family vacation at this property in Mt. Gretna! It was an easy walk to the restaurants, shows, etc. Great porch for everyone to hang out on. Easy access to the 1st floor for those with mobility issues (the 2nd floor was a bit steep, but there was a railing). We all appreciated the 2 bathrooms. No problems parking either. Would definitely stay in this very cute home again! Hadn't stayed in Mt. Gretna in many years, and it was just as lovely as I remembered it.

Nice central location for Hershey/Lebanon/Lancaster
Most of our group grew up in the area, but now live out of town, so we wanted a central hub to reconnect with old friends and memories. We spent most of the time out and about, but grilled some steaks one night at the house and ate at the Hideaway a couple nights too. Don't expect luxury, but this place got the job done!

The property was convenient to Hershey, PA where my activities were centered. It is in a charming neighborhood of vintage homes. Very welcoming property. Neat and clean. Only consideration is very steep stairs that would not work with anyone mobility impaired.

No Linens or Towels!
I've stayed at dozens of properties all over the country and have never had to ask and pay for linens and towels to go with the property. It's an old house that needs to be fumigated. The smell of dampness and mold was repugnant. The floors squeaked really bad. We attend a trade show in Hershey every year and we won't be staying at this property again.

Overall a nice, quaint property. Very well supplied kitchen, several games, many books and magazines. Nice, quiet surroundings. My only complaint would be the mustiness of the house - it was a little overpowering when we got there. We turned all the A/C units on in the house and once the A/C ran for several hours, the mustiness was much better. My recommendation would be to ask the owner/reality company to turn the A/C on several hours before arrival.

Large Cottage in Gretna
The size was perfect there were 7 of us and we all had a comfortable bed to sleep in. The downstairs was cute and huge for a cottage in Gretna we had lots of room to spread out in. The large dining table was a treat, the whole family could sit comfortably around it for meals.

I would not recommend
We rented this property for my birthday, for 4 adults. Upon arrival, the mildew smell was overwhelming. The washer would not work properly, the water lines had a continuous pour on to the basement floor. The cleanliness is extremely poor! The air conditioners have mold and dirt caked in them. The path to the back entrance was not able to be used because of weeds. The gazebo was not usable due to mold growth. We left the property a day early, due to the filth and getting bitten several times by what I assume was spiders. We enjoyed our time experiencing Hershey but the house was absolutely miserable for all of us. With some proper cleaning and maintenance, the place would have been okay. I am honestly mind blown that a “cleaner” comes in and “cleans” the place. There was definitely ZERO cleaning being done inside! I am extremely disappointed with our experience.

Cottage kitchen and baths were clean. Rooms are small but serviceable. I am a Realtor, so I have a list of items that, in my humble opinion, should be addressed by the owners. Feel free to contact me if you'd like--I'll be glad to share what would have improved our experence.

I reserved this cabin nearly a year ago in anticipation of my Dad's 80th birthday. Upon arrival the cabin was tidy and just as advertised. Further, the kitchen was nicely equipped with all that was required to avoid eating out at all. My only complaints are that the dryer exhaust is packed solid and doesn't dry laundry well at all and that the air conditioners are FILTHY. I lost a key, and Frank was Johnny-on-the-spot with another key. It was no trouble at all for me anyway. Thanks for a great visit.

Great location, decent place.
This is a great location within Mt. Gretna, with a great porch to be able to "live outside". Although we found the bathrooms and kitchen to be clean, the house could use a good "spring" cleaning. We appreciated the extra handrails on the stairs and that this house seemed to be brighter on the inside than some other rentals in Mt. Gretna we have experienced. Additional fans on the porch, and fixing the one that exists, would be helpful in the hot summer months. Also the fan in the room with twin beds is very noisy.

Great location but not ideal rental
We've visited friends in Mt Gretna before and always wanted to stay longer. We rented late in the season and had few rental options so we booked this home. I'm not sure if they regularly rent this property but if they do it needs a lot of work to make it welcoming for guests. There are homeowner items everywhere! From decor on nearly every surface so there is nowhere to put guest things down to closets filled with heaping piles of linens (including a dirty towel) so that you can't put any of your own things in it to unorganized cupboards and left behind food. It was frustrating trying to settle in. The house has an overall unclean feeling to it and I'm not sure if the bedding has been washed. It certainly isn't washed between guests. The beds are very old and uncomfortable. We all had issues sleeping. On the plus side, the AC worked great and the location was excellent within easy walking distance to everything.
