"We absolutely loved our stay at Tambor del Llano! The inn, grounds, and farm are lovely and peaceful. We spent 2 nights and we wish we had booked at least 3 nights. We rode their wonderful horses, ate delicious meals, and truly enjoyed just spending time at the inn and and on the grounds. We could explore the fun and busy nearby white villages, but we were always so happy to return to our "home" at Tambor. "

"This stone cottage in the mountains of Malaga province was quaint and cozy. It's part of a camp site with several other such cottages, so you don't feel isolated. There's a pool, but it was closed (for the fall season?). The surrounding woods were fenced off so we couldn't hike much, but walking within the grounds was pleasant. "This hotel is probably the highest building on a mountaintop city. Staff was excellent, food was good, and views were breathtaking. Parking is avail in moderation. But like a lotnof historic Europe, it is not for the faint of heart. The road is only wide enough for one way traffic and alternates directions with the use of a traffic light. "This is an amazing location and city. You have everything within walking distance and this hotel is very well located near it all. Great staff that were very helpful. You don’t need a car, we left our’s in the parking garage 1 km away. Great breakfast in the morning as well. "

"Worth to note: -Staff only speaks Spanish (which is surprising in hotels business) -Wifi does not work in rooms, only public area -Barebones amenities -Took me 15 minutes to check out since there appears to have been an issue with the computer system -After hours entry/exit is reliant on staff in which they lock doors around 2300; but when I arrived late (relayed to staff through Spanish speaking coworker) they were able to be reached via phone when I was outside to check-in. -Overpriced...

"This place was very relaxing and we enjoyed sitting in the backyard and by the pool looking at the mountains and watching the sunset. The listing is accurate, but I was surprised when we got there. There is no wifi. There is a tv but because there is no wifi you can’t watch much. There is an AC but it is only in the main room - however all the bedrooms have fans. You cannot drink the water and will need to buy bottled water. I wish we had known that before we arrived because we would have brought some with us. One set of sheets and towels were provided for each guest but there were no extra sheets or towels in the house. When we asked them to bring blankets they brought them over right away (but there were none in the house when we arrived and it was chilly the first night). The swimming pool is very nice but there were no extra towels. I am sure he would have brought some over if we had asked. But it’s nice to arrive and have these things without asking (we got in late after traveling all day and it was night time). FYI There is no bidet. "

stunning location, not luxury

"This place is hard to rate as it really depends on what you are looking for. Location is 10/10. We loved our stay here. Our goal was to be upon the mountains to do that and this place was perfect. we did several hikes directly from our front door. The views are spectacular, and you are well out of the hustle bustle of the city. There are not a lot of restraunts and you will need to get food and the small stores in ubrique. That being said this is more like glamping than a hotel. The facilities are dark with uncomfortable furniture (hard) and a minimalistic kitchen (we had plenty of spoons but no forks). There is no ac, we were there in the spring so this was not a problem and the rock walls kept things cool, not sure what it would be like in the summer heat. If you are looking for luxury, do not stay here. The place was very clean. No one speaks English so bring google translate on your cellular which will sort of work here. The wifi never worked for us even in the main building. we were told we could’t have breakfast so we made our own. "
