The Space:
The Josephine is a proper Victorian lady, upgraded for the perfect Leadville vacation! Modern amenities ensure your comfort while staying in classic style. Upstairs there are two queen bedrooms, one full bedroom, a full bath, and a cozy den for reading & relaxing.  Downstairs has one more queen bedroom and another full bath. There`s also a sitting room, a family room (with a smart TV), a study, and the laundry room. The spacious eat-in kitchen connects to the formal dining room through the cook`s pantry, where you`ll find all the kitchen tools wanted for hosting an excellent meal. If you`d rather be waited on, Leadville`s restaurants and pubs are just a short stroll down Harrison Avenue, not to mention the outdoor gear or antique shops, museums, and galleries. After exploring the surrounding mountains on foot, bike, or skiis, unwind back at the home's hot tub, or enjoy the sunset while lounging on the front porch!

Please note: due to the location of the hot tub, snow/ice could fall off the roof so the owners do not want guests to use the hot tub as it is dangerous.

Disclosure: There is going to be some city construction going on this summer. We apologize! We will remove this disclosure when the project is completed. You may encounter some road or alley blockages near the home during your stay. Construction will not be going on outside of weekday 8am-5pm hours. Parking can be found on 7th and 8th Street.

There’s no end to the outdoor activities you can enjoy here, from mild scenic hikes to ultra-athletic pursuits, and we’re not limited by season. Head out on a fall colors bike ride, ski or snowshoe, go fly fishing, or climb the fourteeners! And as for the great indoors, we have plenty of restaurants, shops and historical attractions.

Getting Around:
Leadville is a very walkable city, and this home is in the heart of downtown. Free on-street parking is included.

Parking: Although not guaranteed, this home has room for approximately two cars to be parked in front of it. Leadville’s Victorian homes were historically built quite close together in the days before the “horseless carriage.” As such, parking can sometimes be a challenge. In the winter, maintaining an open parking space can cost homeowners a significant amount of money and/or hours spent shoveling. Please take these things into consideration as you plan your trip, and be courteous to your local neighbors by trying to park directly in front of the home you have rented.

Staying in the mountains offers a unique and nature-immersed experience, characterized by a rustic charm. You might occasionally encounter some of the local wildlife, insects, and small critters that are part of the natural surroundings. We recommend keeping doors securely closed whenever possible. Rest assured, we've implemented thorough measures to ensure your stay remains undisturbed by these natural inhabitants.

Altitude sickness is real. In Leadville/ Twin Lakes, the elevation can be up to 10,000 feet. Symptoms can include dizziness and nausea, so please be mindful of this. We cannot offer refunds for guests experiencing altitude sickness. If you anticipate being affected, we recommend obtaining insurance at the time of booking.
