Parking: This home has room for approximately two cars to be parked in the driveway and two more on the street. Leadville’s Victorian homes were historically built quite close together in the days before the “horseless carriage.” As such, parking can be a challenge, especially during the snowy months. In the winter, maintaining an open parking space can cost homeowners a significant amount of money and/or hours spent shoveling. Please take these things into consideration as you plan your trip, and be courteous to your local neighbors by trying to park directly in front of the home you have rented.

Staying in the mountains offers a unique and nature-immersed experience, characterized by a rustic charm. You might occasionally encounter some of the local wildlife, insects, and small critters that are part of the natural surroundings. We recommend keeping doors securely closed whenever possible. Rest assured, we've implemented thorough measures to ensure your stay remains undisturbed by these natural inhabitants.

Altitude sickness is real. In Leadville/ Twin Lakes, the elevation can be up to 10,000 feet. Symptoms can include dizziness and nausea, so please be mindful of this. We cannot offer refunds for guests experiencing altitude sickness. If you anticipate being affected, we recommend obtaining insurance at the time of booking.

Charming bungalow near downtown Leadville
We really enjoyed our stay here at the Wildflower. It has such a charming, rustic vibe and it was so close to everything we needed. The backyard has mountain views, and our dog really loved the fenced yard so she could run around after the car ride. I was impressed by how clean everything was. Bed was comfortable, kitchen well appointed, I can’t think of a thing we were lacking during our stay. It’s not super fancy, just very clean and comfy; the pictures are a true representation of the house. We would definitely come back.

Didn't look like much from the outside but it was open, spacious, and clean inside. The poop in the backyard was picked up after I said something. Nice setup with the two bedrooms and Jack and Jill bathroom.

A wonderful experience
My family and I flew into denver and took bustang and the free summit county transportation all the way to the wildflower in leadville. From the moment we stepped foot into the property we were glad to have booked this spacious 2 bedroom stay. It has a kitchen, washer and dryer, living room, and a nice backyard that you should be able to enjoy if its not filled with snow. The location itself helped us (we had no car) to easily access the grocery store, restaurants, museum, railroad, and the mineral belt trail with ease. I highly recommend the wildflower for any family of 4 or less looking for a comfortable stay in the beautiful town of leadville!

Leadville Wildflower
A great place to stay. Drove in from Indiana to hike some 14ers and ride some bikes and this was a great place to stay. Great location by the Mineral Belt Trail, an easy walk to the strip, and an overall convenient house with good amenities. The back yard was perfect for the pups and for us to grill while we also enough room inside to stretch out and relax after hikes/rides. Only bad part was leaving. Meh.

Cute, clean, convenient
This cute cottage was the perfect getaway for ourselves, and our adult son and his dog. It was tidy, spotlessly clean, and well stocked with everything from linens and kitchenware to extra paper products and games - even a dog bed! It's an easy trek to the downtown strip of shops and dining, yet with easy access to wilderness trails.

Delightful too short stay
My friend and I brought our dogs for a nosework competition at the high school. Neither of us had been to Leadville before, so imagine our delight to find an adorable small home with a fenced in yard within 10 minutes of our trial. In addition the close proximity to a lovely walking/biking trail and downtown coffee and restaurants was perfect. We wish we could have stayed longer. The home is clean, the kitchen modern and well-outfitted and the bathroom was charming. It felt like home - and did I mention that the exterior is in the delightful Leadville decor? It sure added to the ambience. Would stay there again and recommend to friends.
