This beautiful 19th century Breton house is just 300 metres from the shores of the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel.
It is located in the coastal village of Le Vivier-sur-Mer, famous for its mussel and oyster farming and its exceptional geographical location between Saint-Malo, Cancale and the mythical Mont Saint-Michel.
On the ground floor, a spacious and charming living room welcomes you with a pellet stove, rustic beams, a large corner sofa and a dining area for 8 people.
A first toilet is located in the passage to the kitchen.
The large kitchen is fully equipped with high quality appliances: Five burner hob, Miele dishwasher, new oven and microwave. There is a breakfast nook with coffee machine, kettle, toaster and plenty of storage space.
There is also a large lobster pot, oyster knives and all the utensils you need to prepare delicious seafood dishes.
On the first floor there is a bedroom with four beds for the children and a master bedroom with a double bed. The bathroom on this floor is equipped with a corner bath and a separate shower in high-quality materials.
A wooden staircase leads from the first floor to the spacious master suite under the roof. The railing around the staircase, the rustic wooden beams and the porthole lamp will quickly immerse you in this special maritime atmosphere.
From the double bed there, you have a beautiful view of the second bathroom with double washbasin and large shower.
In this atmosphere of land and sea, there is a large TV screen in the living room and a fibre optic internet connection for the whole house.
Bed linen and towels are provided. Final cleaning is included in the rental price.
The terrace, protected from view by wooden fences and illuminated at night, is ideal for relaxing evenings. A barbecue is at your disposal. You can park your car in our private car park in front of the former barn.
In the nearby centre of Vivier sur Mer you will find a grocery with local produce, a supermarket, a bakery, a hairdresser, a pizzeria and several seafood restaurants overlooking the sea.
The area offers many outdoor activities: Hiking, jogging on nature trails, horse riding, fishing, cycling, beach sailing in the neighbouring communes, go-karting, bowling, sailing, swimming in the sea (beautiful beaches 15-20 minutes by car between Cancale and Saint-Malo) or at the AquaMalo sports complex in Saint-Malo.
There are playgrounds and picnic areas with sea views in Vivier sur Mer itself and in the neighbouring villages along the bay.
The typical Breton towns in the area will delight you: Saint-Malo, a former pirate town, and the elegant seaside resort Dinard have their own charm thanks to their history and characteristic architecture.
The nearest town is the medieval-looking Dol de Bretagne. At the Saturday morning market you will find local and natural products, many regional specialities, typical culinary preparations and a nice tourist hustle and bustle.
After visiting the 13th century cathedral and the cathedraloscope, you will be well prepared to visit Mont Saint-Michel, which is only 25 kilometres from Le Vivier-sur-Mer and is clearly visible from our coast.
