"This property is set in such lovely grounds. There is loads for families to do and the property was perfect for what we wanted. The host even arranged for a masseuse to come to our property on the final day for some massages! (For an extra fee) "

"We had a lovely few days relaxing in the countryside. Great property, lovely open space for kids to play and gorgeous peaceful views across the valley. We did a day trip to Paris, taking the train from L’Aigle. Check in and out very easy and Nathalie an attentive and helpful host. Would recommend!"

"Beautiful property and grounds with lots of sunny spots and shady spots. The pool was beautiful too. We did a couple of day trips out but mostly just chilled out and made use of the pool and table tennis. There was also a tennis court with basket ball hoop but we didn’t use it. Good local supermarkets and we tried the local pizzeria and bakeries - all excellent."

"The house is set at the end of a very rural drive through the French countryside. Whilst VERY rustic, it has all the amenities you would expect, but is a compromise between a pretty old building and modern refurbishment. Perhaps not for everyone, but we loved it. P.S. mind your head on the beams upstairs."

"4 of us stayed in Les Chenes gite, which is a 2 bed cottage with its own huge area of garden, outside pergola, and a gentle stream bubbling nearby. Surrounded by trees and grass and birds chirping in the trees, colourful dragonflies and butterflies this was an absolute Eden of peace and calm. "Very nice, quiet location near charming small towns and walks in the forests. A house with local character that has been thoughtfully updated. Plenty of space for two couples. Loved the large fireplace and well stocked kitchen. Our host, Thierry, was very accommodating and full of suggestions."

"Nous sommes 4 amis (2 femmes, 2 hommes) et nous voulions visiter de petits villages du Perche et de la région de l'Aigle. Le charmant petit village de la Gonfrière offrait une situation idéale.
