"This is a beautiful house with 5 bedrooms and 2 kitchens it can obviously be divided into 2 smaller houses but our two families had the entire house. The kitchens are extremely well equipped and we liked that there were some things in the cupboard like coffee and salt and herbs along with dishwasher tablets and hand soap. The home is exceptionally well furnished with very elegant features… many big windows, great outside lounging areas, swimming pool, and a well equipped kitchen. "We booked this property as a girl holiday getaway for my 40th birthday celebrations. Overall we had a nice stay and found the location great to be able to visit some really stunning towns and villages nearby including Dome, Rocamadour and also had the opportunity to do cannoing in the Dordogne river as it’s such a great spot for it. In terms of the house itself, it had the main things we wanted but I wish the outside area by the pool would have had more greenery or at least a bit of grass....

"We had a fantastic stay in Thierry's villa, which is located in a wonderful location, and with all the amenities you can think of. It was clean, spacious and all the basics were provided. Pool was a blessing given the lovely summer weather we enjoyed. Views on the dordogne and surrounding environment, given the location of the villa was exceptional. "La Villa des Consuls is located in the heart of old Sarlat, with all the amenities that entails. The staff is nice and helpful, putting us in touch with a great guide and setting up our taxis to and from the rail station. Breakfast is tasty and reasonably priced, but above all, our two bedroom room was spacious, comfortable, and beautiful. It also included a usable kitchen and a small balcony overlooking the main commercial street. Despite that, it was quiet. I highly recommend this hotel."

Stay more than 1 night!

"1. Arrive in the daylight! This is Deep France, so it's a little confusing to find in the dark. 2. Stay in the Chateau part of the house. Our romantic room was BEAUTIFUL and just like the photos. Our -in-laws had a family room, and it was very large! 3. You should reserve for dinner since there isn't much else if you arrive in the evening. We missed it and ended up eating pizza in a parking lot! 4. Breakfast "buffet" was impressive, both the beautiful DR setting and the variety of food. Worth the $. 5. We were there in March, so still early spring, but the pool area and grounds looked very inviting for warmer weather. 6. Excellent treatment at reception for both arrival and departure. 7. Room/beds/AWESOME shower! We would love to return!"
