Our hosts were very nice people. This VRBO was very much out of the way. A map with more specific directions on how to get there would have been helpful. The unit was very clean and well maintained. The view from the porch was relaxing, watching the sail boats, and the pelicans doing low fly-bys, however, you step off the porch right on to the street. Most of the neighbours were very nice, including the local stores (sparsely stocked, but friendly service, nice people). Some of the local youth however sped down the road on their very loud motorcycles which completely destroyed any semblance of quiet and calm.
The water is ten metres from the front door, but you can't go in to it. The beach is about 400 metres away, but the better beach was about 4 km away. The pastry truck comes by every morning with mouthwatering goodies. listen for the horn. The outdoor rinse off shower and clothes lines came in very handy.
I would never recommend this for two couples. One couple would have to walk through the other bedroom to get to the restroom. There is no air conditioning, so having the doors open for the fans was a necessity.
It is a beautiful area with a lot to see. Check out the markets and museum in Saint Pierre.
