"Cottage is a days drive from England in North Loire region so not as well known. We had plenty to do visiting historical sites, old villages and wine tasting! It was very quiet and peaceful and the owner very helpfully marked a map with interesting places to visit. We were unaccustomed to en-suite arrangements formed by curtains"

"A great stay for 3 generations of our family in this historic house. We had good weather and loved the garden and pool, but also the convenience of the location. An easy walk to the nearby lake for swimming/kayaks etc. bakery is opposite and short drive to supermarket. Market up the road for food on a Thursday morning. House is spacious and stays cool even in hot weather. Might be worth knowing one bedroom is only accessible through another bedroom or the bathroom, but this wasn’t a problem for...

"We loved the gite. Owners Marie-Sarah and Antoine have clearly put much thought and work into developing their two gites with light and modern interiors in a characterful old former farm building set on a tiny peaceful country lane on the edge of the village. The gite is well equipped and comfortable. It was very clean. There is an outside terrace with ample garden furniture, a BBQ and access to the shared garden/grounds of the owners’ house. "Traveling France we were looking for something about 1/2 way between Normandy and La Rochelle. Hoped to find quiet spot in rural France to drop in and do nothing for a couple days. Hike, eat and soak in hot tub. The house is located too close to the highway to be considered remote rural, and traffic noise is present all day long. We slept with bedroom window open all night, traffic does stop in the evening, but the trucks and traffic are out rolling early the next morning, ,,,no sleeping in....

"We had an overnight stop at this property on our way back to the ferry. Our stay was very pleasant and the hosts were very friendly. The property was very clean and they catered for all needs, tea, coffee, water etc in the room and I even got a recipe for a wonderful courgette marmalade. The property is not too far from Vitre which is a beautiful town and definitely worth a visit."
