Despite the language barrier Ginette was great and spoke better English than we did French. However, the issues were with the room itself. When we entered the room it actually looked great with the bedroom being separate and up one flight of stairs but there was a damp musty smell that we thought may have just been from being closed. "Rural location - perfect for visiting the beautiful gardens of Normandy. Not a hotel but more a farm being renovated as a super "B&B" (5 bedrooms). Francoise and Christophe are delightful hosts. "This French farm house is beautiful. I felt like I was staying in someone's home. One of the hosts, Peter, gave wonderful background about the surrounding area and was very flexible about making breakfast early as needed. The breakfast was delightful with homemade yogurt and jams, local cheeses and meats as well as the classic French bread varieties and croissants. "This is a little gem if you don't mind driving to the major sites. Extremely clean, quiet, country location with a great view. 5 star customer service, the owner went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. Great breakfast ready exactly when we ordered it. Bonus - fresh fruit and jam from the local garden. Comfortable beds, plenty of towels, charming room decor. Secure with an automatic gate. Highly recommend it and plan to come back myself!"

"I travel a lot and have stayed in thousands of hotels, all very forgettable. You will never forget staying here though! Wonderful room with very nice bathroom on a memorable property. Very quiet and peaceful. Stephane and Karine are gracious hosts and I am thankful they have made their location available. Zero complaints and cannot recommend highly enough!
