"The gite is in a great location, a short walk from Doelan, which is a picturesque small port on a small river estuary. The host, Jacques, was very welcoming and friendly. We had some lovely conversations with him. He is a real gentleman. He showed us where the local hidden beaches were located, and advised on coastal walking nearby. Would very much recommend this property. It is great value for money."

"The pool area and garden are very poorly maintained, and although the owner sent someone round to address this, it remained inadequate and nothing like the beautiful image in the photo. The pool is surrounded by dense trees and consequently requires constant attention to deal with debris. The grass in the garden had not been cut for weeks. The kitchen is blighted by damp and water trickling down the wall - leading to rusty appliances and a musty smell. Such a shame, as the property has enormous...

"We had a lovely time staying in at this Gite and the owners were very helpful. The highlight of the stay was definitely the covered and heated pool which we had to ourselves and swam in every day. Our 3 year old loved the toys and puzzles in the gite and the outside games such as travel tennis. I can see how this would be a great place to come with other families."

There is a reasonably-sized heated pool, and pleasant walks around the farm and through adjacent woodland. Ideal for summer stay but stone floors and only one sofa for 4 people so wouldn't be so comfortable if the weather was poor. Could have used some instructions as to how to find it."
