"The property was well equiped for holiday requirements. Local village has what you need. The bakery was nice for fresh croissants and baguettes. Also a small intermarche within walking distance which was handy. Plenty to do in the area, château's, caves etc. We particularly liked the Base de Loisirs de Rouffiac, which is a lake with beach and plenty of activities, kayaking, swimming, water ski park, tree park with zip lines, high wire bridges etc and it had different levels of difficulty...

"We thoroughly enjoyed our week here. The house was beautiful, spacious, clean and filled with lots of antiques which added character. The house is in a quiet rural location but close to Excideuil (we recomend the market) and Brantome for kayaking. Didier was a lovely host and came early in the morning every other day to clean the pool. Would highly recommend"

"It was not as expected from the photos. The downstairs of the house was dark (due to the verandah) and damp and smelt of damp. Walls and ceilings were stained with old leaks. The TV did not work. Stairs needed great care to use - we had to leave most of our luggage downstairs. The outside door was difficult to lock/unlock.The wardrobe in the bedroom was full of junk. The shower door had mould and stains from water leaks and nowhere to put soap, shampoo etc. The shower did have good water...

"This gite has everything you could need and more from a lovely pool to an outdoor gas barbecue and an (indoor) air fryer. Julia and her family made us all feel really welcome, lots of helpful advice and communication. The only thing we’d change was the weather! Such a shame and meant we didn’t make as much use of the fab pool as we’d hoped. Other than that - perfect!"
