Red Fox Retreat (Comfortably Sleeps Up To 22!)

The whole family will love their stay at the Red Fox Retreat. This unique property provides both picturesque valley & river views as well as a recreation & nature-lovers paradise with Forest Service trails literally in your backyard & adjacent to the property. This rural setting is still very close to everything with Lava Zip Lines & Go-Karts two minutes away & Lava Hot Springs less than 5 miles away. This is a newer property beautifully appointed for families & large groups all year-round. Inside, the property boasts two large family / great rooms centrally located to the bedrooms on both floors. These large family / great rooms are outfitted with spacious sectionals for socializing, a foosball table for fun, and a large movie theater area for relaxing in front of your favorite show. *NOTE 1* The bunk room is an additional fee of $65 for the additional laundry *NOTE 2* One of the bedrooms off the basement family room downstairs doesn't have a door, but is in a roomy alcove with two trundle beds There is also a large 4-car garage than can be used for parking, games (a ping-pong table is set up), or whatever you'd like. Outside, there are large outdoor areas with beautiful views and amenities such as a large hot tub, outdoor dining, 5 burner gas grill, grass lawn, fruit trees, and a sledding hill. The property and furnishings are newer and high quality. The property has great natural light, central heat / AC, and a whole-house generator that will make sure no power outages ruin your stay. Guests can access all parts of the property except for the detached shop where the owners keep their SxS and other possessions for when they come to stay and play. With parties that are 10 or less or a short stay, we aren’t allowing access to the bunk room. It helps keep the cleaning fee lower for guests. If you think you’ll need it anyway, please message us, and we can open it up. It will increase the cleaning fee by $65 There is a local manager named Andrea who is very responsive to any guest needs and can handle any requests that require being in-person. She is a co-host of the property along with the owners (Dan, Angie, Chris, and Melissa). Between Andrea and the owners, we will be very responsive to any guest needs. Beautiful country valley 5 miles north of Lava Hot Springs. Valley has horses, cattle, trains, and the Portneuf River running through it and backs up to the Forest. Gorgeous all year round. The major mapping apps will take you directly to the property. Roads are mostly paved, but with a 1/2 mile stretch of dirt road before hitting our paved driveway. In the winter months (Dec - Mar) it is best to have 4WD or AWD or at least snow tires if you're 2WD. Roads are plowed by the county and HOA, but it is a remote country setting on a hillside. There is ample parking for 7 cars in front of the house and in the 4 car garage (2 spots always open, 2 more spots available if you move the ping pong table). The property is available year-round and accessible even in the winter. Due to the rural location and hillside setting overlooking the valley, it is advised to have either a 4 wheel drive or AWD vehicle during the winter months (Nov - Apr) in case there is snow. At the very least, you should have good snow tires (not just all-season tires) if you're traveling in a 2 wheel drive vehicle as you run a chance of getting stuck if it snows even though the roads and driveway are plowed year-round.
