"Wonderful property. The building is over 200 years old but completely remodeled with all the modern amenities you would need. We traveled with my family (2 adults + 2 kids) and my parents. The location was easily accessible to transportation and walkable to the main city park. Very clean and well stocked which is always appreciated. The one downside was the hot tub was broken but that is no one’s fault and we still enjoyed the sauna. The owners were especially kind. Would stay here again if ever...

"The house was spotless, very roomy, modern, well equipped. The linens were high quality. The bed was comfier than my bed at home. Excellent location - 5 min from train station and co-op. Co-op has a great selection of premade foods, produce, beer, wine & a great cafeteria. Host was very responsive. Did not rent a car and so glad we didn’t. We will be back soon."

"Diarmund and Kashi are wonderful hosts to this lovely set of homes. We had Dep 3 which is the top floor penthouse of one of their properties. We loved having Matten as our neighborhood because it’s next to Interlaken but not in it (plus the entire region is very small so the borders don’t matter much). It felt more like a local neighborhood than Interlaken did, and everything was pretty much walkable within 15-20 min. Some things to note about the house and the Interlaken area: - the bus...

"The apartment was nice, equipped well but instructions for operating major appliances were nil and made operation very difficult and frustrating. I would suggest that they have written instructions for operation of each, along with hints for problematic quirks that added to equipment failure. Next beware of approaching the apartment resident managers, my friend/co-habitant got screamed at for no reason because she knocked on their door on a weekend to get help with the electric cooktop stove...

"First off, the location is amazing! Couldn’t be more centrally located and it’s directly across the street from the train station. We stayed with two adult and three young kids (8, 5, and 2) and had sufficient space to be in the apartment, but most of the time were enjoying the village directly out the front door. Would definitely recommend!"

"We loved our stay at this huge, lovely apartment in an excellent location. It’s minutes from the train station Interlaken West and close to bus lines, shopping and grocery stores. The host is so responsive and friendly. She meets you at property and gets you acclimated to the apartment. Gabriela even gave us bus cards to ride public transportation! We couldn’t get the dryer to work so she came by at night while we were at dinner and got it working for us! We would definitely stay again."
