Self Catering Rural Farm Cottage + Heated Pool Cornwall
This is a recent conversion of a farm building, now carefully designed for a fabulous and relaxing break away from it all.
The living space is open plan, with sitting, kitchen and dining areas together. It’s spacious, light and airy. The sofa is a double sofabed. French doors lead out to a private patio area with BBQ facilities and fenced grassy garden and views out across the beautiful valley and swimming pool. The cottage is set back from the other cottages, just up the drive from the courtyard for extra privacy. The kitchen is fully fitted with new appliances including a dishwasher and breakfast bar. There is a wood burning stove in the living room for those cosy nights in, and a large flat screen TV and DVD player. There is gas central and under floor heating throughout. The relaxing double bedroom with it’s own TV and black out lined curtains, has space for a travel cot. The modern bathroom, accessed through the hall or bedroom, has an L-shaped bath with drench-head shower over. The pool shared between the 4 cottages and is open May -Sept. Superfast Wi-Fi.

We had a great time here, Lou and Jez were very kind and helpful. The pool area is very cozy and it's always fun to just sit outside and see what the animals are doing.
Can't thank Jez and Lou enough for their warm hospitality. The cottage is perfectly located, facilities are brillaint and lots of lovely touches like an honesty fridge by the pool and fresh wildflowers on arrival in the cottage. Will defintely be returning.

Good but not great
The property was very nice although not as big as it looked on the photos could have done with a few more toilet rolls one was a little surprising and a frying pan that would work would be ideal oh and parking outside the property would have helped especially with a baby
Absolutely gorgeous, will definitely be back. The sound of sheep goats cows and birds made this stay feel like a real retreat from the hustle of normal life! And the pool is a bonus. Definitely recommend.
Last minute booking and so glad we found Morvoren cottage on Coombe Farm. Lovely and cosy, great scenery and enclosed garden for our dogs. Owners very helpful and welcoming and easy access to all parts of Cornwall. Looking forward to staying there again soon.

Beautiful setting for a relaxing holiday
As we drove down to the property past the outdoor pool it immediately looked relaxing and calm. Our cottage was lovely with all the home comforts you would need with a great over bath shower! Our girls loved helping farmer Jez daily feed the animals and collect the eggs. Great lemon drizzle cake on arrival. The cottage is about a 5-10 minute drive from Launceston which has a large Tesco with petrol station and a great fish and chip shop. We would definitely recommend and hope to return soon.

An Idyllic Family Holiday
We had a lovely week staying in Dozmary Cottage. As a family of four with two young children and a dog this cottage is set up to make your life as easy as possible, from a high chair, to travel cot and additional kid friendly dishes the owners Jez and Lou literally couldn't have done more for us. The property also has its own self contained garden which meant the dog was always secure, Jez and Lou have clearly put their heart and soul into the Farm - the extra touches such as BBQ night and the ability to buy farmshop meat on the premises were great added touches.
Dozmary is a cute cottage that has been renovated to a high standard but it is the grounds, the farm animals and the heated swimming pool that really made our holiday. The kids loved feeding the animals with Farmer Jez every morning - our morning rituals felt a bit boring once we got home! Coombe Farm itself is in a great location and is a short drive from lots of great beaches, walks and days out - the Eden Project was a favourite of ours.
We will def be returning. Thanks for a great stay :)

An idyllic break down on the farm!
This was our third visit to Coombe Farm Cottages in as many years, so that tells you what you need to know: it's the sort of place you can't wait to come back to. Dozmary cottage is just lovely – well equipped, clean, comfortable and with some very nice decorative touches. There's an outdoor patio with barbecue and a large area of grass that's all yours, too, so ideal if you have children or dogs. The farm itself is very well located for everything north Cornwall has to offer (although you do need a car). Over the years we've visited beaches at Bude, Widemouth (and a couple of secret locations Lou and Jez will let you in on if you're lucky); the Eden Project; Tintagel; Boscastle, as well as checking out great local pubs and restaurants (again, Lou and Jez are good for recommendations) and walks on Bodmin. But it's also just as fun – and very relaxing – to spend the day hanging out at the farm. Wake to the sound of the cockerel crowing, then start your day with the 8am tour of the animals, where 'Farmer Jez' helps the kids feed the pigs, sheep, goats and chickens – a fantastic experience for our urban urchins. Then buy some of the farm's own eggs, sausages and bacon and head back to the cottage for a divine full English. The kids are free to play in the playground, explore the farm, pet the dogs and cats and make friends with whoever else is staying on site. And if it's summer season the outdoor pool is open – and heated!
Lou and Jez are the perfect hosts, happy to chat if you want advice and recommendations, but also busy with their own family life and content to let you keep yourselves to yourselves if you prefer. We've also stayed in Morvoren cottage (lovely, best for couples or with one small child) and Silyback (very much like Dozmary, no garden just patio but direct access onto the playground) – all highly recommended.
A final point: while I can't guarantee good weather, we've always been blessed on our visits. And, situated as it is in a coombe (which I learned is a small valley!), the farm is sheltered and seems to have it's own microclimate, as well as beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. We will be back!

Simply Splendid!!
We spent a terrific week at the end of July at Coombe Farm and were absolutely thrilled with the place, facilities and the overwhelming ease of the owners. Our 4 year old replaced town for country and fed the animals every morning with farmer Jez and other children on the farm; we used the pool everyday and ventured to nearby local attractions- which are many! A splendid place- would definitely consider booking again either with family or for a retreat with girlfriends!
