"Clean, air conditioned room, comfortable bed, good shower. Only one bedside table, no drawers or hanging space. The bar and restaurant had been very nicely refurbished. We sat outside for evening meal, garden bit overgrown and meal felt rushed but food was good. Breakfast was basic, just croissant, coffee, juice and bread. Good location for exploring the area."

"Staying at Manior was like staying in one of the nearby palaces with magnificent gardens,and an incredibly grand bedroom. The bathroom was so large there were 16 quite large paintings hung in it. "Quick one night stop over on route from UK via Cherbourg to Dordogne. 2 adults 3 young kids. We booked the wooden Summerhouse/Chalet because it was more fun for the kids. We got exactly what we booked, perfect. Our host was very friendly and helpful given our poor spoken French. Woke up with the song from the birds in the woods. Breakfast was perfect, great coffee, freshly baked bread, home made jams, apricots, yoghurts and pain au chocolat."

"We stopped for one night on our way back to the UK. Langeais is a very pretty small town on the Loire with a beautiful Chateau in the centre. La Fleur de Lys is a small hotel right in the centre. "This was the best place we stayed on our driving trip around France. The hosts were accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was great with a lot of jams made by the host.
