"Close to the train station. They charge a "resort" fee which is ridiculous because it is nowhere near being a resort. Old building, so lots of dangerous edges to drop off if you are a senior. The personnel were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was good."

"Hotel had nice upgrades to common space w/ indoor pool/spa and sauna. Breakfast area was nice, but we didn't have breakfast any of the mornings. Rooms are tiny, but apparently standard for France. Hotel is in a weird industrial area, but quiet. Eery at night, but seemingly safe and totally fine. Sleepy town. "

"If you arrive by car in the dark then its not easy to see the driveway to the Reception nor where you can actually park. You have to go in and ask! Very friendly and informative staff so first class in that respect. Room was fine and good enough but noisy smoking neighbours in next room on the adjoining balcony. Restaurant staff great. Usual disappointing menu but typical french fayre and they still dont know what a well done steak is! "

"Clean property with terrace and parking just at the door. Appreciated to have a kitchenette and a frigobar. The only suggestion to improve the experience would be to decorate a bit the rooms. If not, perfect, everything was new!"

"Was easy to get to love this place. Don't expect all the modern conveniences of an ibis hotel. This is a place to kick back with 10 to 15 close friends and enjoy this somewhat remodeled farmhouse. Wonderful communal dining room and lots of beds and baths. The beds and baths are rough but clean in general."

"A bit outdated but otherwise great place to stay: one of the most comfortable mattresses I have ever slept on, spacious room, big soft towels and friendly staff. Highly recommend!"

"This is a great hotel if you are travelling to or from Spain as it is in a quiet area with easy access to the main route. The hotel is very comfortable with spacious rooms with tea/coffee making facilities and large beds. Bathrooms have bath as well as shower and excellent hot water and also complimentary toiletries and hairdryer. Breakfast was very good and the room was very pleasant. "The tone of our stay was set by the enthusiastic wave that greeted us on our arrival. The property is everything we could wish for - well thought out, lovingly maintained and with a stunning view. Add to that the best of hosts who are there to assist - they went out of their way to help us get a bicycle repaired - but who do not to intrude. Quite simply the best rental property we have ever stayed in."

"A historical building. Rooms excellent. Staff friendly. Restaurant good but with very limited choice, and for that reason alone I would not like to stay longer than the three nights that we did. "

Beautiful countryside, 5 min walk from all amenities

Wonderful Stay

"We had a terrific stay at Ken and Shona's rental. The house was full of character, very comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen in a quiet and scenic neighbourhood. As cyclists, it was a great spot to launch a bike ride from with countless quiet backroads that were picturesque beyond belief. The house was close to all amenities and it was easy to busier roads/highways to travel to other towns and cities such as Pau, Bayonne etc. The pet donkeys were a special treat and we looked forward to seeing them in the mornings while drinking our coffee in the backyard. Shona and Ken were incredibly helpful and responsive to any questions we had. We would highly recommend this house!"
