"Highfield house is very close to centre of Skipton. Parking is relatively easy in the area. Our host was available when I called to ask about parking on drive and as she had finished preparing the rooms allowed us to check in then. Very helpful."

"This is a superb guest house in the best position in Haworth. Despite being moments away from the Main Street and the Brontë museum, it is super quiet. The decor and rooms are stylish, beautifully presented and spotless. The owners are genuinely nice people who are good at what they do and also treat everyone as individuals. There is nothing they haven’t thought of - lots of finishing touches in the rooms, and a fridge/honesty bar stocking snacks, crisps, drinks is available 24/7 including fresh...

"We stayed for 12! Days it was so good. Beautiful property in the heart of North Yorkshire - amazing selection of breakfast. Clean rooms and family-run, friendly service. Sometimes we had to ask repeatedly for clean towels - and we don’t change them everyday. Beds were old and could use updating for comfort. Otherwise - would highly recommend! "

"Back again to stay.We love this place.The hotel has a pool and steam room which is never crowded as theres only a handful of letting rooms.The rooms are decorated nicely and the hotel staff are great.Next door is the Dog and Gun where you go for your breakfast.Hosted by Michael who is one of the best hosts ive met in the hospitality trade.The food is lovely and its never a let down.Serving lunches and mains and Sunday dinner.I love this place and cant wait to return....AGAIN. "I made a reservation without looking into the reviews. When I arrived and saw it from the outside, the area, the building, the curtains… it felt unsafe. Only then I looked at the reviews and ended up reserving at Holiday Inn Express which was just 10mins away. Just want to make clear that I did not even go inside."

"Such a bad check in. Took 15-20 minutes to get me into the room, which was terrible. Pictures on adverts did not represent the place. Shared bathroom with no toilet seat. Just such a bad experience. I prepaid for 2 nights and paid for another hotel second night so I didn’t have to stay. "

"Pearl, the proprietor runs Kirk Lea on her own after her husband's heart attack and she does a great job. The room was lovely, clean & tidy though with a bit of dated decor. Comfortable bed and the breakfast was top notch or should I say top nosh. Would definitely stay here again but the owner is looking to sell as Pearl is looking to move and quit running a b&b. An easy 8.5/10 "
