"The apartment is decorated and furnished in a charming fashion. It is well eqipped for a comfortable stay. The location allowed us to walk everywhere we needed to go so that we only needed a taxi when we had to transport our luggage. The hostess, Sarah was very helpful both before and during our stay. We had a most enjoyable week exploring Hexham with a side trips by train to Newcastle and a day at Hadrian's Wall with a private guide. "

"The Granary at Carr Edge was a lovely place; I hope we can visit again. It's in a beautiful spot with gorgeous views on both sides. It looks remote on the map, but access to Hexham, Hadrian's Wall and various forts and museums was easy. It's picturesque, a stone-built farm house and outbuildings, so like my grandparents' that I visited as a child. Everything was perfect down to the signage. "Lovely apartment, room enough for a family and even the Labrador felt at home. Excellent location by the church, parking and using the facilities were hassle free. Walks by the river and countryside just a few minutes away by foot and paw, many choices for pubs, restaurants and cafes or a short drive out for other options within easy reach. "If you want to visit and learn about Hadrian's Wall, there is no better location. Three miles from the Roman Soldier Museum, three miles the other way from Vindolanda museum and excavation. One mile the other way to Cawfield Quarry to hike. Plus great Pub food and comfortable inn. "
