Relax and unwind overlooking 70+ acres of beautiful preserved farmland. Magnolia Cottage was built 10 years ago and is both charming and modern. The living space includes beautiful hardwood floors, large windows with natural light, a beautiful wraparound porch and back patio so that you are always surrounded with a beautiful farm view. The spacious 5-bedroom house is perfect for remote work and schooling, reunions, family vacations and needed escapes to the country. Magnolia Cottage is easily accessible to many local destinations, including Downtown Lancaster, Hershey Park and Amish Country. Come enjoy the peacefulness of Lancaster County. We hope that you will find rest in this scenic location.

The Space

Enjoy overlooking beautiful farmland, with the amenities of quality beds, a fully stocked kitchen, Amish-made dining room table, and a living room with a gas fireplace and Smart TV. The wraparound porch is perfect for relaxing, bird watching, reading a book, and drinking coffee. The patio provides the perfect location for an evening of grilling and making s’mores over the fire pit.

The kitchen is fully stocked with a coffee pot, fridge, a gas stove top, two ovens, microwave, dishwasher, and toaster. You will also have pots, pans, silverware, cooking utensils, and dinnerware for your use.

There are 5 bedrooms on the second floor. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and en suite bathroom including a double vanity and walk-in shower with a rain shower head. Three bedrooms have two twin beds, which can be used as two beds or easily combined to make a king-sized bed. One bedroom has a full-sized bed. There are two additional bathrooms (3 full bathrooms total) on the 2nd floor. Each contains a double vanity, bathtub and shower. One, Jack and Jill bathroom, is in-between two of the bedrooms. We provide towels and washcloths for you, as well as shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There is also a washer and dryer available for use on the first floor.

The home is equipped with high-speed internet and includes a TV with wireless access to Netflix, Hulu, etc. The finished basement has a ping pong table.

The backyard is perfect for grilling, games, and sitting around the fire. There is a basketball hoop in the driveway, and the surrounding area draws people from all over the county for long bike rides. Within walking distance is Daniel’s Den Playground, that includes a ½ mile walking trail, sports fields, and a creative playground for children.

Great Country Retreat
This was a wonderful place for our family to stay while visiting my mom in Elizabethtown. We enjoyed the peace and quiet - and the farms surrounding the property. The house was cozy / well appointed / met our needs perfectly!

Where to begin? The views from this home were spectacular, even with a little rain. It was so very peaceful and quiet. The beds were absolutely the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on. The rooms were a perfect fit for our group of 9. We will definitely be booking this home again when we return to Lancaster.

A Perfect Stay
We had the most wonderful stay at this gorgeous and serene home in Lancaster, PA. It was the perfect place for our family to gather for an overdue reunion. The home could not have been more lovely, and Janine was communicative, kind, and accommodating. We all agreed we would return in a heartbeat! We cannot recommend Magnolia Cottage enough!

Wonderfully pleasant stay.
House is locationed in a beautiful setting with lots of surrounding land. The inside is immaculately clean, and includes a lot of updated accents that add to the appeal. The ping pong table, fire pit, basketball court were a blast. Kitchen had everything you need. Host was wonderful, helpful, and communicated strategically at various time to ensure we were doing well. I highly recommend.

Our stay at Magnolia Cottage was wonderful. We had 7 adults and a 1 year old with plenty of room to spare. The layout of the main level was perfect for catching up with family and cooking. The property and surrounding farmland is stunning. We were able to take impromptu family photos. The weather and scenery were perfect. We would love to come back someday!

Great family house for Thanksgiving
We had family gather from various places for a relaxing and beautiful Thanksgiving. The house was very comfortable and the location was pastoral and idyllic. Close drive to interesting places in Amish country when we wanted to do something. But the house is great for just hanging out with family. Janine was great to deal with - prompt, helpful, and friendly. The house even had a Christmas tree for us. Overall, A+ experience for our family.

Great weekend at Magnolia Cottage
Magnolia Cottage was the perfect place for our group of two families of five to spend the weekend. The sleeping arrangement was perfect for us, and the light filled house was great for hanging out. Everyone enjoyed the ping pong table and basketball hoop. There is a lot to do in the area, and there’s a great playground within walking distance. Janine was extremely responsive and made the whole process smooth and easy.

This property was exactly what we were looking for. We didn't want to leave. It was very comfortable, clean, full of natural light and surrounded by beautiful farmland. The house was picture perfect… and perfect for 10 people. We had plenty of room to sleep, eat and bathe.. the basement was a bonus we didn’t realize we had… the teenagers loved hanging out down there and watching movie. The parents loved it cause we got to get away from the kids for a while! If we play in PA next year we book again

Spent a long weekend at Magnolia Cottage with our kids and grandkids. The house was exactly as pictured! The kitchen was well stocked, lots of room for everyone. Kids enjoyed the ping pong table and huge TV downstairs. All the beds were very comfortable. The best part was the location! The surrounding farmland was pretty and peaceful. We watched the sunrise on the wraparound porch. Close to many attractions( we visited Hershey Park, Corn Cob Acres, Lancaster Market, creamery) and numerous restaurants. We would absolutely rent out this place again!

Beautiful and Quiet Lancaster Getaway!
Our family of five flew into Harrisburg primarily to visit Hershey Park and Gettysburg. This beautiful home within the cornfields was an excellent place of refuge and staging. The beds and bathrooms were clean and comfortable, and the kitchen had all required amenities for quality cooking and dining. We also got great use of the grill, fire pit and basketball hoop. A short drive to Lancaster provided numerous markets, restaurants and quaint shops. Additionally, Janine is an excellent host who kept us connected with constant and timely information. Overall, we had a refreshing, peaceful vacation in the Harrisburg and Lancaster region. Outstanding getaway!
