Very disappointing reasons why not to book this property
This was one of the most expensive bookings of a holiday rental that I have made by far the most disappointing
To start off with we arrived on time and had to wait outside the gate for three hours, while the host continue to clean the property then he spent a further hour clean the outside the property while we got inside
He was not in the least apologetic and seem to think that this was acceptable way to run a business
In addition to this, we were on the understanding that we were renting the whole property. When in reality, the host lived in a cabin at the end of the garden.
Which we would’ve never considered staying at his property if that had has been mentioned in the listening
The inside of the property was very dusty and dirty as he didn’t have a cleaner and choose to clean the property himself
while it was a nice large house in the description, six bathrooms while in reality, there were three bathrooms one was which outside and two toilets
Bedroom downstairs was damp and had water leaking from the wall and the fifth bedroom which was detached from the property had water leaking from the ceiling onto the bed
We spoke to vrbo They weren’t very helpful they advised us to ask the host to clean the property better and a discount.
Then, in addition to this, when we were leaving, mention £200 for cleaning services
While the host was pleasant enough he clearly didn’t know how to run a holiday rental not very professional ,and no attention to detail
