ABOUT THE SPACE
Enjoy your vacation at our lakeside cottage in Sunny Point with seasonal dock (available Memorial Day through Labor Day) and wonderful views of Lake Wallenpaupack.

THE SPACE
Our home has 4 private bedrooms (2 on each level). 1 queen, 1 full and 5 twins with a bathroom on each floor. Large kitchen opens up to dining room with full view of the lake and a side room you can use as extra dining or sitting room to enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon cocktail. We have great outdoor space also. Gentle slope to the lake makes getting there and back a pleasure. Off the dining room is a great size deck with plenty of seating, BBQ grill and table big enough for all your family. Down at the lake is a nice seating area to sit and enjoy the sunrise or relax watching the kids enjoy the lake. We also have a fire pit down by the lake to enjoy watching shooting stars and roasting marshmallows. Any way you look at it.....lake living is relaxing!!

GUEST ACCESS
Access to the property is contactless by keypad on the front door. Our Digital Welcome Guide is a complete guide to your arrival, stay and departure for your rental home. The Welcome Guide is sent when the required forms and information is received.
Guests have access to the whole house. Locked closets/areas are as follows: small closets in the twin room upstairs and crawlspace/basement.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE - BOOKING REQUIREMENTS
75% of guests need to be 30 or older with an exception for children traveling with their parents. The remaining 25%, will need to be 25 and over.
This home is for families and respectful guests, it is not a party property. All bookings are required to sign a short-term lease after the booking has been accepted to satisfy community requirements.

WHO WE ARE
This property is managed by a local real estate agent. Property Owners rely on our team to book and manage their home for you and to make sure your rental needs are met. To make sure each property is well maintained, each reservation will require a rental agreement to be signed. The Rental Agreement is posted on this site and is available for review at check out. In addition to the Rental Agreement posted on VRBO, you will receive a Reservation Form that is required to be completed within 48 hours of receipt.
Our communities are also governed by township Rental Ordinances which impose certain rules and regulations for owners.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Our rental management includes 24-hour emergency response for any issues that arise.

Parking is available for 4 cars plus 1 boat trailer. NO OTHER SPACES ARE AVAILABLE.
Day Guests are limited to 5 persons over the 10 allowed as overnight guests. (NO MORE than a total of 15 people are allowed at the house at any given time).

LAKE INFO
Swimming and/or Floating is encouraged. Water is great for swimming and water levels are always high enough for a boat to be docked.
Rocky Shoreline access – lake level fluctuates depending on the season.
Spring – Lake levels will be high. The docks do not start getting installed until late April. We do not GUARANTEE any dock in the water before Memorial Day.
Summer – High Water Mark is June 1st. Depending on the weather, the lake levels may come up higher than that making the docks hard to access as their walkways will be underwater. We do our best to make sure they are accessible, but we cannot always get to them on demand.
Fall – Water levels will be lowest, and docks will start to be removed from the lake until the spring. Boats can still be docked, water levels at the end of the docks are still acceptable for boat docking.
Winter – Lake usually freezes, and ice fishing is popular. Any access to the frozen lake is “at your own risk”.

HOUSE RULES
No Smoking inside – smoking outside only. Must not leave any butts and ashes behind
NO FIREWORKS or discharging of any firearm is not permitted. Includes BB, air, pellet, paint guns.
Quiet time 11pm – 8am – this is a family-oriented neighborhood, no late-night parties allowed. Voices carry at night when it’s quiet. If you are out late at the firepit or on the deck, please keep noise to a minimum.

Lovely vacation
We’ve been coming to the lake our entire lives, and this was one of the best properties we’ve stayed at! The house was spacious, the deck was amazing and the walk to the dock was easy. The kids had a great time playing by the lake. The few stairs to get to the water were super sturdy. I’d give this place an 11/10!

The home is a quaint and clean older home with beautiful views of the lake from the family room bay window as well as the enclosed wrap around porch. Easy walk down flagstone pathway to the lake.

Relaxing lake house vacation
This is our second stay in this house. The location is perfect and the house was equipped with everything we needed. Fabulous Memorial Day weekend!
We had a fantastic trip. The cabin is comfortable, clean and spacious. The grounds are beautiful and swimming or fishing off the dock makes it a true lake vacation. I recommend visiting the Dorflinger Glass museum.

Great Friends Weekend
We really enjoyed the sleeping capacity of this property and the property has has a nice slope to the lake (compared to other lake properties with large slopes and many steps). The home is a bit retro but it met all our needs. The kitchen table comfortably fit 8 adults and there is plenty of room in the family room to sit 8 adults. We enjoyed our stay and the service provided to us through the experience.

Everything about this trip was awesome. The lakehouse is well equipped. The location is so close to so many attractions and the lake is huge and beautiful. There was plenty of room so even on rainy days the kids had plenty to do with games and Disney channel was a great addition. We didn't use the canoe because we brought our own kayaks but that also would have been so much fun to take out. Mabey next time.

Summer vacation
We had a wonderful week, the best part of this property was how flat the walk was to the water. We have stayed at places with up to 84 steps, this was sooo easy. It was also nice having the dock empty to fit our boats and jet skiis! The location was also great, only 7 mins to the grocery store and liquor store. 10 mins to dunkin and ice cream!! Great pizza place down the street and dollar general was only 5 mins for items we forgot! Plenty of parking! The house had a lake feel to it. Highly recommend this place, we would definitely stay again:)

Just heaven…
Lovely lakefront in a quiet cove across from a preserved part of the lake with a great trailhead. We kayaked over and hiked it. The house is not “modern”, but honestly that would ruin it! It was the cleanest rental I I think I’ve ever experienced. We would definitely rent again.

The place is a perfect spot to spend time with family. Great deck. Boat dock should be more secured tho; seems like the chain on one side broke and hasn't been fixed leaving the dock to sway a little from land/steps. Great outside fire pit area. Poison ivy found in back yard. My one "complaint" would be the houses were a little too close together, but neighbors were super respectful and quiet. Nice family vacation!

The fishing trip
Cindy Rocks! Overall we had a great experience. House was clean and had plenty of basic supplies. Deck area needed a closer look by cleaning crew. Parking was good and fit our 3 trucks and 2 boat trailers. Kitchen has most everything you'll need for basic meals It was a very comfortable home and worked well for us. Wifi was good, but tv had basic channels only. Lots of good seating areas; Sofas and beds seemed above avg. Lakefront yard is great...gentle slope is an easy walk, but needs a bit of light on the path for the evening smores at the firepit. Nice dock with great lighting at night.

My husband and I rented the house and invited some of our very close ftiends.
We had a good time despite 1 day if heavy rain. The only issue we had was the full size bed in one of the downstairs BR was a mattress on the floor so not suitable for adults over 65!! Suggest the owner purchase a bed frame... Also the back door is warped and very difficult to open and lock closed. The screen is also damaged and there are alot if mosquitos so we hesitated to keep the door open.

Livin’ that dock life!
Beautiful house. Beautiful lake. A beautiful week at this home on Lake Wallenpaupack. The house is bigger in person and was perfect for our group of 5 plus 2 pups to spend a week. However, we spend most of our time on the deck facing the water, at the fire pit and on the dock. We brought kayaks and rafts and enjoyed the morning and early afternoon sun floating and sunbathing o. the dock. It was our favorite part of the trip. We cooked every meal except one dinner at the house, on the grill or over campfire. Kitchen is well appointed. Anything we didn’t bring was easy to pick up at a local supermarket or liquor store about 5 min away. Prior to arriving we received a digital guidebook that was very detailed and information about the house and surround area. Communication overall was perfect. We’ll be back.

Charming lakefront cabin
Enjoyed a wonderful week at this cabin. The inside has a very charming cabin feel. Although list as 1500+ sq feet the layout makes it feel much larger. The interior and furnishings are in great shape. Great views of the lake cove in front of the cabin through the trees. Wonderful wooded lot complete with squirrel and chipmunk visitors. Perfect to have your own private boat dock for swimming and boating. I rented a pontoon boat during the week and kept it moored at the dock. The children had a blast fishing off of the dock. The only negative of the dock if you want to call it that is that it's east facing so you'll be in the shade around mid-afternoon if you like sunbathing. We made use of the fire-pit each evening down by the lakefront cooking smores and enjoying some wine. So nice and peaceful in the late evening. The Sunny Point lake community tends to be vacation home owners that come on the weekends so during the week things get quite in the area and on the lake. Weekends are another story but a Saturday to Saturday stay avoids most of that. I grew up spending weekends at Sunny Point and it can be very hectic out on the lake. The cabin was well stocked with many board games and a video game console. A slightly larger TV than 32" would have been nice but we hardly watched tv anyway. Too much else to do! The split system A/C downstairs works great. Almost frigid levels although the kids complained that the upstairs bedrooms were warm. Fans in the upstairs rooms helped. The two downstairs bedrooms benefit from the A/C unit. Bed linens are provided but you must supply your own bath and beach towels. That's somewhat of an inconvenience if you're flying in from a distant location. The only negative that we experience was with the kitchen utensils and pot/pans. It was a mis-matched collection of various cookware and kitchen knives. Guess I've been spoiled by the outfitting of Gulf beach homes. It wasn't a show stopper but the wife and daughter complained about it as it made some meal preparation challenging. Overall I recommend this cabin for an enjoyable vacation. I would definitely return!
